I'm not trying to put you down, but this is one of the most useless comments ever. Not only have you ignored the OP's request to provide constuctive criticism, but you haven't even bothered to play it. Also what is up with this 4.5/5 garbage? If the OP wanted you to rate it, he would have provided a poll. On what grounds do you rate a map? On how well it plays or it's looks? Do you judge it just from the post? From what I gather it's just the post. Please try again. Anyways, Hunter this does look very nice, but I will be back in here again with any comments and concerns and I hope to tell you that it is one of the best pit maps I've ever played.
looks good and ill give it a dl its one of the few posted maps that are on the pit. 4/5 i like the crates blocking the air lift you made me laugh and i like the way you blocked off some of the areas and turned pit into a conquest map Good forging!
how ironic, 2 conquest maps on the pit realased within a week. I released one just the other day. It's quite a challenge forging on the pit, so I know you put a lot of effort into this. I'm very interested in the map so I'll take a look at it and get a few games on it. I'll be back then with a review hopefully.
sweet i so going to down load and try to breck out of the map during a conquest game by the why i love the way u blocked off the thing in the pit is uquice and sweet at the same time nice job 4/5 is their spawn killing?? or are their alot of differnt places to spawn okay i watched the vid spawn kill isnt a problem
I downloaded the video he has linked. Having watched it, Full Circle does play rather well with large parties. From what I saw there aren't a variety of spawns, but they are far enough apart ot prevent spawn killing, as far as I know.
I'm going to have to disagree and say that this map has a lot of problems with it. First off, a lot of your barriers can be easily broken with grenades. Secondly Your map isn't exactly in the spirit of conquest in that it doesn't follow a linear path. Everyone can skip around to different territories making it play, well, like territories rather than conquest. Furthermore your weapon placement comes up a little short. You want weapons in unconventional locations. SMGs in the small hallway or sniper on a tower is more or less n00b weapon placement. if you switched the two it would be great. But by placing the weapons in their key locations, your making it easy for the player and an unfun game. Player's should have to work to gain control of a certain portion of the map, have it given to them. Example: make a person run from one area to another with the sniper to put them in a good position rather than starting up top with the sniper. It's hard to explain but I hope you get it. Overall I think it's a creative effort, but you can't expect this to be considered a viable conquest map.
I'm sure the more people you have, the more deterred somebody will be from trying to skip around because of it being more cramped from a large party. Also, the barriers are there to show that you aren't supposed to go that way, not keep people out (or in) if you play with people that try to get out of the map first thing, I suggest finding new friends. BTW, have you ever tried blocking off parts of the map in those kind of large portions on a pre DLC map? I'd say he did quite well in doing so. The map looks like it plays great, but like John Broddish said, the sniper in the sniper tower and SMG's in the small hallways is kind of a bad decision. Apart from that, It looks like it's going in my conquest map rotation.
Well, as other people might not be able to say this when they commented I can. I downloaded this map. I downloaded it to form a good opinion of how this can be a conquest map. To be honest this map is lacking in the conquest spirit. As others have mentioned, conquest is a linear path with no flanking being able to occur. Although flanking would be harder to do in this map I can see how one would be able to sneak past one team to grab their territory. Now you say that is hard to make a linear map on The Pit, and I agree with you, which is probably why not many have ever done it before. Evan12075's Stalemate map probably takes up the only path suitable for Conquest residing on The Pit. So I really wouldn't refer this map to someone for Conquest in mind. However, this is a good "The Pit" map. If you play CTF, or Assault I'm sure it would be quite fun. You have really managed to change The Pit's original geometry, by blocking off sections, to transform it into a different style of map. So, I would recommend this map to someone that enjoys a good game of CTF, but Conquest I just dont see it in here.
I'm making a version that plays with assault, CTF, KOTH, regular territories, and assault . It should be done pretty soon.
