Don't think it through so much. All you know so far is based off one screenshot. Just wait for more information before jumping to a conclusion.

Yes, Sandbox is smaller than Sandtrap. I don't see the problem there.

As Scar3 said, Sandbox is obviously smaller then Sandtrap, but larger then Foundry.

I feel with a larger foundation we will have more options, and have forging to be more flexible. While its not the biggest map bungie has un-veiled, its definitely a unique one, even as they said.

And there is already a released picture of an in-game sandbox picture. Its somewhere towards the end of the Sandbox Discussion thread. The screenshot can give you a venial retrospect of the size.

If I could remember the website where they compared Foundry to Sandbox I would, but it seems I can't remember where it was. If I do find it I'll PM it to you.

I don't see why your complaining Twisted Gaming. You said you could get to the other side in like five seconds. Foundry is even smaller. Sandbox will be much better for large teams. Maybe even 8v8 if people at multiple levels. It looks SOOO much better than foundry.

I thought the exact same thing about the "stones". I think bungie tricked us into believing sandbox was gonna be the new, better, foundry. Hey, you don't know, may have great competitive map abilities. BTW

I was just asking why he was saying that was a problem. Its really not. So you can't make a map the size of valhalla, you can make a good map half the size of valhalla. See my point?

And I doubt bungie will remove the ability to geomerge and interlock. So it won't be just stacking things. Really though, both the problems pointed out were already things in foundry.

Personally i don't erally like teh look of sand box (Forging pov) I think it would be hard to make foundry styles maps because its not enclosed, its all sand and hills around taht people can escape through. I guess i might have to get used to it?

It's going to take a lot of resources if we want to forge a map enclosed with walls..

That's why we have Foundry... >.>

I'm pretty sure Sandbox isn't meant to just replace Foundry. Sandbox is being made to allow us to create more customised, larger, open maps. Something that we just couldn't do on Foundry and weren't given enough freedom to do on the likes of Avalanche. Sandbox is filling that "hole" for us.

If you wanted to create a large, open map that felt very customisable, you couldn't. Now, you can. If you want to create a small, intricate map then you have Foundry.

Don't try to force a square peg into a round hole. We have Foundry, this is what it's for.
