lol yes, the epicsauce of amythest(project name, well name it something deathnote, unless you like it) awaits!... there are a few changes from when i showed you if you have that old version on ur drive.
This map is a fun, fun 2v2 map. I played it the other day, and could not break it. Definitely not with the mongoose. The aesthetics are great, and there is a large amount of interlocking/geomerging for all you interlocknazis out there. The gameplay for 2v2 was tactical, but at the same time fun. I was afraid of the amount of grenades, but it turned out okay. Good job.
I remember playing this, it's unusual layout and map placement gives the map a uniquely competitive vibe, great for small parties who want to have competitive fast pace game.
This map has a very interesting map layout. The gate side base is very nicely interlocked,I got to say this is a really good map.The thing i dont like is the shotgun side.Theres almost no cover. But thats just me.Good Job 4.5/5
besides being above most area around it, and with the big pillar covering half of it, cover really isnt needed. its not facing a big open area, therfore no cover is needed spam. fill out your post plaeze presicley. origionality is what i went for. i remember hearing drago and remi screeming " where the **** am i?!?!??! " for five minutes....
I didn't really like this map. It didn't have that great of flow. Sure the interlocking and geomerging is nice, but a good map needs good flow. Try to have more ramps than jumps.
In teh small confined spaces of the map, ramps take up to much room. I put them in when I could, but for the most part substituted them with jump ups, or lifts. While your opinion may be that it sucks, you only playd half of a game, of ffa, and everyone spent thier time in game trying to break the map. We even ended to game to go to forge. If your in for a more competitive experience, playa game of team doubles, andas chron said, it gives off a nice "cometitive vibe"
While playing on this map I imediately recognized that the map flows very well. Playing 2v2 on this map is a blast, and if you play this you won't regret it. The weapons are very balanced and the starting rush is a hell of alot of fun. Especially when the unstoppable force (rockets) meets the immovable object(guy with overshild)
While you played an older version, one with to fast responing os and rockets, the geometry has seen some changes theat help flow, and the power weapons ahve been replaced with shotty and beam rifle, and moved to the sides in the middle of the map, allowing for more balance.
I actually haven't gotten a chance to play on it, and I probably won't for a while =/. Therefore, this post will comment on everything I see here, until I can come back and comment on gameplay. First off the name, I absolutely love it. Many maps are named boring names or names with a unusual word. Great name. I also like the weapon set. It is nice to see a map that contains dual wield-ables. I would guess that would fit well with FFA. Yet, there are BRs for tactical gameplay that fits for 2v2. I also would like to note the well-made choice on power weapons. The unused, arguably less powered, beam rifle and a short range shotgun. You put a good number of power weapons on the map, not to overpowering. From the pics, the aesthetics look very good. The interlocking an geo-merging are beautiful. I like the way use the base map's geometry to blend with your map. Evidence of this are the platforms near the back hallway. There is a unique structure that cane be seen in the first 2 pics. The layout looks nice. You have used a nice style of forging. I am anxious to see this in game.
All the Above is true. I chose the beam rifle, becasue its more versatile on maps, better for no scopes, and quick snipes, rather than sniping on maps like avalanche.
I am back with my gameplay review (finally...sorry it took so long...nobody likes to play customs anymore). Well I did get a few games of doubles going and I have to say that I was impressed with the gameplay. There is a good mixture of long lines of sight with BR's and close range battle. I found that the fighting seemed to take place more on the side of the map near the center of Foundry and a couple of jumps were kind of annoying but it's a really fun map. Aesthetics - 5/5 Gameplay - 4.5/5 Weapon Choice - 4/5 Overall - 4.5/5 Great Map!
The game of slayer on this altho it was to crowded with like 8 people lol, was very fun. I like the whole layout and how you made the map come out for foundrys defalut right base, all in all well laid out, nice geomerging and interlocking and solid gameplay, a must download. This has been a walnutz review.
yeah, phreakie got annoying when he started screaming bad spawns as i was explaining to nim 4-5 people is the reccomended limit. thats wierd, i found the gameplay to rely more on the other side, and in the middle. for annoying jumps, your talking about the dumpster jump. theres a geomerged gravlift right there that you can use to avoid the jump
nah i wasn't talking about the dumpster jump. in the center of the map there's some interlocked boxes and one of them is sloped. when you walk up the sloped box, you have to jump to the box above it if you want to get up there from that direction. that's the one particular jump i found annoying. yeah and i don't know why but where i said gameplay centered around, that's where everything seemed to happen. There was little to no carnage on the opposite wall. idk why. EDIT*: the jump im talking about is in the bottom left corner of the last pic.
ha!, you werent even supposed to easily be able to to that jump. its a massively hard crouch jump. yet again, on one side, underneath the bridge, is a gravlift you can take up
No matter how much I dislike you... 4/5! I think the geomerging is A-OK! and interlox is clean but one thing though even at the top of the map (the wall that keeps you in the map) you need cleaner looks... But thats just me...
