Without all of those objects present, it is a blank grid map. Look closely and you will see the grid squares. Of course, many squares are covered with sand.
I meant put the actual picture inside the spoiler. My computer just crashed again while trying to load that page. Actually TSB, the Sandbox Environment 1 thing goes to show there might be more than meets the eye. If not, I'm fine with this. There are infinite possibilities. I see this map as a flat Avalanche with sand and better forge items.
What if you had a filter that changed the theme kinda or something? Like a color filter, but more epic and less likely. Regardless, I am still psyched for the new maps. I wanna forge on that space wan. =D
Actually theres probably a good reason they named it that... Theres Environment shots, and theres Action shots. That is the first picture they released of it. Therefore "Environment 1"... which means there will be more pictures coming soon. I guarantee what you see is what you get. If im wrong, which im usually not, you can all personally laugh at me. I just dont see the point in over exaggerating and then making what we get seem like less than it is.
I agree, it'll just be a flat map with all of those things being deletable- which I'd be perfectly fine with.
I believe Urk sent us a code. Normally when I order pancakes they are stacked and not single. I believe this to be true with Sandbox. Sandbox is not just one layer of pancake, but multiple pancakes. Hence why Environment one is just one pancake. I've done my research from Ihop and it shows the most common order of pancakes is three. So I believe there to be three environments of Sandbox. Environment one looks to be a regular ground floor. I also believe the picture does not include the sky, because their is an environment there as well. Please support my pancake theory.
In addition to the floating blue circle, there's also a red circle. It almost looks like a waffle in the high-resolution picture. If you tweak the perspective a little, it's likely that they're base-color labelers. Also, I think I see an overshield on a pedestal.
Fine. Pancake theory supported. So what would we have? Sand Sandbox, Grassy Sandbox and Foundryish Sandbox? I would be in forge heaven. I wouldn't know what to do with Mythic when I buy it! I just BUY things. I'm a customer on the Xbox. I hate DLC. Microsoft has DLC. Bungie has DLC. Corporations trying to control their little Xbox's. I'm not a DLC seller. I show corporations how pathetic their attempts to sell DLC really are. So when I tell you that Bungie leaking this picture was nothing personal, you know I'm telling the truth. It's a video game company that put you where you are. You were a customer. You bought DLC. Look where it got you. I just took your DLC and turned it on itself. Look what I've done to this forum with a few drawings and a picture. You know what I've noticed? No one panics when things are released according to plan. If I tell the press that like Orbital will get released, nobody panics. But when I say that one, little old Sandbox will get released, everybody losed their minds! Introduce a little leak. My guess is that Sandbox is just like Foundry. Foundry is an actual map but every object can be deleted. Sandbox, IMO, will be the same thing. It will offer a larger and and more free forging environment. On the side note, Bungie better not be messing with us. Seriously, there will be riots.
Silence is right. I checked other screenshots on the page, all of the orbital ones have something like ENV-5 or ENV-3 in the name. What you see in that pic is what you get.

I think the "multiple versions of Sandbox" theory is now to be officially dubbed Pancake Theory. Unfortunately, it is my belief that Bungie likes waffles...
