we established that it is sandtrap a while ago. now there are just random conversations spiring about.
okay this is just a theory but last time bungie released a drawing of a map the actual pictures came 2 weeks later. so what the theory is is that they are going to show it in this weeks update. also to go with "thats not sandtrap", i will have to belive you urk but damn their close unless you can design you own maps with different biomes. anyways sandtrap is going to be sweet
This is my understanding of sandbox. This picture and this picture Look alot like this picture, which bungie confirmed to be sandbox. Yep, i'm pretty sure they said more info it was gonna be a monday, but i have a feeling it's gonna be next monday
I believe there will be an update of some sort on Monday, perhaps more information will be released then? They did mention map info is more likely to come on a non-Friday.
Why on a non-Friday? I don't know, I think we'll be waiting until February for more info. I still firmly think that the grid thing at the end of the acceptance speech is Sandbox. We'll just have to wait to find out. I trust that Bungie still has faith in the hard-core forging community, just maybe not Shishka... They'll pull through, everyone just trust them to give us something awesome.
This is really nerve wrecking ... The more :happy: BUNGiE :happy: shows their new Mythic maps on their main site, I yearn for it even more and would do anything to be at least the 17th person to have Assembly, Orbital, and :happy: Sandbox :happy:... It's a good thing I preordered Halo Wars or else I would have died!
I think you should seriously consider counseling. Multiplayer maps shouldn't have such a grip on your life.
I just noticed something in that pic which I never saw when I watched the video. The front, flat platform section isn't quite in line with the grid on the floor. I don't know if any significance can be placed on this, but it could hint towards this being a user editable map (yes, even Sandbox), since it would seem odd that an in-house edited map by Bungie (even one used for a short clip like that) would be off grid like that. Here's hoping.
I really wouldn't get your hopes up too much, Pegasi. I would love to see more come out of Sandbox, but as I've thought about it I've come to expect another Foundry-style map (hopefully without a ****ing crane or slanted in bottom walls) with a nice change of scenery. I'll hold out hope for a couple of new (useful, dammit) forging items and a larger budget, but I'm not going to expect anything that will change forging dramatically. I say this with confidence because I know that Bungie wouldn't do anything that would end up making a map obsolete.
That is one of the most valid points I've heard in this thread. One thing to counter that though: Foundry is free, and this new mythic map pack may never be free. So to "upgrade" your forge experience it would be worth buying the map pack.

It's all the rage on the Halo 3 forums. There was a link to an xbox related site.. Here Which you can translate in Yahoo if you feel like. Anyhow, I'm off to bed. The Halo3 forums have got you covered with all the wild speculation you could want =P
I have to say, it isn't as large as I had expected, but its a new canvas. I'm curious what other objects will be available.
