Water Temple As a little present to you all at forgehub, I present you all with my unique infection map, Water Temple. Just a personal note in here, this map is not intended to be related to the Legend of Zelda series' games. The name comes from the gametype, where the alpha zombie is Chaos Zero from Sonic Adventure DX. Chaos is made of water, and he lives in a temple. That's where the name comes from. This is my fifth map posted onto forgehub, and I like how it came out. With original concept and exciting gameplay, Water Temple is the remixed fat kid map that everyone can enjoy. Now the regular zombies aren't instantly killed in one hit. They're demons now, after all. _______________________________________________________________ The Gametype Human traits: 150% Damage Resistance Normal Shields 100% Damage Modifier Primary Weapon Assault Rifle Secondary Weapon Magnum Infinite Ammo Enabled (Map ammo is too limited as is.) 100% Speed 100% Gravity Zombie Traits: Alpha Zombie (Chaos): 2000% Damage Resistance Normal Shields 200% Shield Recharge Rate Instant Kill Primary Weapon Energy Sword 25% Speed 100% Gravity Enhanced 75 m Motion Sensor Poor Camo Blue Forced Color Zombies (Chaos's Minions): 100% Damage Resistance 100% Damage Modifier Primary Weapon Energy Sword 75% Speed 100% Gravity Enhanced Motion Sensor Blue Forced Color Last Man Standing: 200% Damage Resistance 150% Damage Modifier Limited Ammo 200% Speed 100% Gravity Gold Forced Color It's a fair gametype, because the minions are somewhat hard to kill. _______________________________________________________________ The Map Humans and zombies spawn on the bottom story. A pool sits in the middle of the map, Chaos (the alpha zombie) and all of his minions will spawn down here. For the first thirty seconds, Chaos rests in the pool so be alert for humans who try to jump in and assasinate you. At the thirty second mark a grav lift spawns, freeing Chaos to attack the intruders. The rest of the time you are simply running from Chaos and his minions. They are water demons, and Chaos cannot be killed, only assasinated. I will show you the weapon and equipment placement on the map, so you know where everything is. The Bubble Shield is inside an open double box against the back wall: On both sides of this double box, there are shutes leading to and from the underground: Going in The Undergound Coming out Also note the passage with the barrels in the picture above. A deployable cover is down that hallway and there are two hallways on both sides of the map. The BRs are behind the tunnels for the underground (bottom right): The Underground gives access to two identical camping spots, where a pallet guards the entrance to each. A roadbloack with a spiker is the first thing in these areas. There's also a radar jammer down there. If you look in the upper right corner of the above pic, there is a cavern with a SMG inside. This is on the upper story of the map. There's one on the other side as well. On the top story, there's a turret with a regenerator behind it. If the turret is destroyed, it doesn't respawn. The grav lift to the top spawns after 45 seconds inside the main chamber. When you are held against the roof by the grav lift, you need to crouch, and the teleporter above will pick you up and push you onto the top level. And that's it for now. But just remember... Ok? Fat Kid? Okay, just a bit cynical. I know you make good maps, however. What are the human traits? The map looks very clean and rounded, but the zombies spawning in one place might make it unfair.
It's remixed, but if it'll help, I'll post the traits for humans and zombies. I'll get on that right now.
Nice aesthetics there aren't too many good aesthetics in infection maps. Gameplay looks nice you might want to use more interlocking and maybe even some geomerging. I did dl though because good infection maps are getting scarce
I'm glad you liked it. Originally I was never going to post this map, since I made it a LONG time ago. But, a friend of mine urged me to make the post because of its aesthetics and good gameplay.
Very nice map, i liked all the interlockizationicallness.. lol no seriously though, i liked all the interlocking, and the clean, and smooth surfaces. I also like the neat idea of the water shield door things. I know maps like this have been made, but you made it work in an actualy game. I also like how you interlocked for infection, and it looks fun too, will DL. its quedd.. 4.5/5!
you know i remember parts of the water temple... and i can see where u havereplicated the area to put the lead boots on and walk thru the temple... too bad u cant make a tourch lighting switch... lol that would be a good idea
very nicly done looks really good all good interlocks nice and neat i dont see any sloppy areas unless ur hiding some through the pics but yea otherwise it looks great. i would like to see some gameplay pictures posted first though because i would like to see what sort of tatics people can use on this map befor i dl it
Nicely merged and looks very clean and playable and I love the tunnels and shoots, maybe you can have it so the zombie is invisible so its more scary. GJ nonetheless. 4.3/5
Lol, wow. How did this map suddenly get attention again? Umm... I guess replies are in order. Glad to see you like that map. This was probably my first map where I took interlocking seriously and made it look good on a map. I wish I knew how to geomerge back then too... XP Ok, I'd like to clarify that this map is not based off the Legend of Zelda games at all. I called it Water Temple because it relates to the gametype, where the zombie is Chaos Zero from Sonic Adventure DX (I'm not kidding either). And yeah, Chaos is made of water, and he lives in a temple so... yeah. And about the torch idea, who puts fire in a water temple? Lol. Don't worry, I hid nothing in the pictures. And I don't think I'll post gameplay pictures, since I made this map a while ago, and I may remake it soon after my current project is done. Unless another person demands action pics, I probably won't post them. Well, the alpha zombie is transparent, so it's hard to see him. The blue coloring and slight camo makes him look like he's made of water. But yes, it is scary when you realize he's almost within lunging distance of you, and then you just see him... And also, what's with the 4.3? I guess my unique maps deserves a unique rating, lol.
nice map the design is very well planned out and the game play is awesome. i love to pop out of the hole and scare people.
Just downloaded this map since it's infection and has 5 stars. You obviously made this map with the intention of being able to get out of it... hence the flame thrower in the weapon locker. It was put together very well, except for the fact it's easy to get out of the map and I don't see much of the gameplay taking place within the map if people can easily get out of the map.
