Teh next layer down. It is uber. Is it the same picture? No. The map is just symmetrical. The next platform. It looks kinda like objective spawn points upside-down... Teh bottom level. I made plasma grenades Place at Start = No. I added shield doors to keep the people up top from grenade spamming. I fixed the Objective games. I added small amounts of [extra] cover. I haven't ever seen a map quite like this. The design is original but I'm not sure I like all those sheild doors, maybe if they protect spawns but I think a big problem on this map will either be camping or grenade spamming. You don't have a weapon list but I'm hoping there's little to no grenades and only 1 or no power weapon.
It looks like a very unique map and a good layout although problems would be things such as 1) It is probably too small for more than like 2v2 2) People will get clostraphobia lol 3)and grenade spamming. If not correct me but a wepon / equipment list would be nice =). The forging is really good though and it looks really nice =)
I remember I did not like the first version of this map but this one looks like it was much improved. I think the respawn times on the stickies was made longer, am I wrong? If so, that's good because it lessen's the ability to grenade spam. The only thing I question is the number of shield doors but since there's nothing like a shotgun or mauler on the map, they'd probably be okay. A couple of suggestions though. Maybe spread the stickies out a little. Like put two on the top floor and two on the floor that looks like an upside down objective thing. Also I don't know if it's possible with the number of boxes it looks like you used, but if you could make the map a box wider on each side, I think it would be more fun. Overall, a lot better than v1. I'd say a 4-ish/5. Good job on this version.
rewib65- How in God's name would you even know if the gameplay is actually bad. Have you downloaded it? Have you played a game with other people? In reality the gameplay is quite fun and competitive. Please download the map and gametypes and play a few games before you give a negative review. AceOfSpades0707- Thank you for enjoying this version a lot more than the first one. I am sorry that I threw a hissy fit on the other one about your review. You were correct. I have, as you said, increased the grenade's respawn time. I will also contemplate your suggestion about the grenades being spread apart. I added the amount of shield doors that I did to protect players from the grenades from hell; the person that actually has the grenades has to move from the top floor to stick people. I would be unable to make the tower any wider, as it used all of the double boxes and open double boxes. For all of you who care, I am going to release a canvas of the tower for a competition. The competition will be released in my blog and in the Forge Discussion area of the forums.
you only put 1 item???!?!?!?!??!!! wow for a map of ths verticalty that doesnt seem very smart. also putting an image, altho it grabs peoples attention, isnt very smart to put into the writing stuff as it divides the readers attention. props on the interlocking tho
Pictures are kind of close up. Ill have to play it to see how it turns out. Looks pretty neat though from what I can see.
This looks really cool. I like the interlocking and i might download once i get ungrounded. Oh and if you make a second version to your original map, just update your first post. Because now you have two threads of the same map (basically). I say 3/5, but i havent played it yet so i dont know
Looks a lil more campy, but not spawn campy. I like this one, the shield doors look good with it. Though my fav is the bottem, with the walls and stairs. Ill DL and take a look at it. BRB, edit l8er.
Re: Catacomb Tower v1.2 Aw too bad. I think the map would be a lot better if it was just a little bigger. Do you have single boxes that you could use? Sounds cool. PM me when you release that, it could be very useful to me.
I do have single boxes, but they would only be enough for the first two, MAYBE three levels. Will do.
