Monster Madness v2 Players: 6-12 Teams: 2 Map Download Gametype Download This map is designed very similarly to the forge hub featured map purple bunker. When I first played purple bunker I was immediately confused by it's construction. It seemed that even though the gameplay was fun the game lacked any real point. I mean it's fun to try and make the entire team survive for the hole time but there is no real competition between players. Basically if one person is sitting next to you not shooting the zombies at all, you all lose because of him and last man standing means nothing (even though you get points for it). Shortly after playing it I set out to make this game. As you can tell by the name, it's a reforging of the original with a few changes, turning it into a completely different style of game. The way this game differs from the original is that there are now two teams and the map is played with a koth game-type. I finsihed forging this map some time ago but never got around to posting the v2, which, as can be seen by the pictures, the map is made much more smoothly. And there is now more cover availible for the runner to make it to the top of the staircase or hill. The game starts out with two players from each team spawn at the end of each hallway. (only 1 if you're playing with 6 people) The goal of these players is very simple, be the first team to reach the other end of the hallway and get 1 uncontested hill point. However, as seen the photo above the rest of each team is stationed at the end of this hallway in an enclosed bunker. Armed with needlers their job is to keep the other team from reaching the hill before theirs. Of course there are barriers and equipment that spawn over time aiding the runners of each team. Including a bubble shield, flare, deployable cover, and custom powerup (increases speed). The round ends once one team has captured the hill and there are three rounds per game. Bonus Included: Original Purple Monsters Gametype The most amazing thing about this map is that it's two mini games in one! Using Symmetrical and Asymmetrical spawning, this can also play the original purple bunker game (and unlike the original supports 16 players). All you have to do is use a different game type and the map transforms itself as needed. And as always any criticism is welcome, have fun, and enjoy!
this is a nice idea to make a differnt remake of purple monsters witch is sweet i like the idea of the hill very nice i have a couple qustions what are the speeds of the people running toward the hill noraml fast slow just asking very nice idea thanks alot 4/5
Cool! Looks kinda like a edited version of purple bunker, but only slightly. I like the idea, very fun with a big party I'm sure. I'll DL it and give it a whirl. 4/5 as well! :O
I suppose that it is nice that you finally released the new version of the map, which is what I will have to do for Half-Cab v2, though I first want to get a party of eight together to just test several aspects of it first. As before, the only thing that I didn't really like about the game is that, once the custom power up spawns, it basically becomes a race to it for the win. Or at least that's how I remember it working. Edit: For some reason, I can't get the gametype.
While it does help, if just 2 defenders constantly shoot the CP user, it is possible stop him. Fixed, my apologizes.
Very nice map,I want to tell you that the stairs in this map are very well interlocked and the sheild doors are perfectly aligned witht the walls but it coul be a little neater so just try to work on that
yeah, i had the idea to make two totally separate maps in one using the symmetry option, but here it is fleshed out. very nice idea, both look fun, especially the territories one, good job. 4/5
i like both games, but still its not cool to copyright, make sure u ask the owner of purple monsters if you could change things around, because i would get prity mad if i were him
The speed is 25% but when a monster picks up the CP it is upped to normal speed. This is actually the 4th mini game map I've made with 2 different gametypes(one of which is unreleased). To my knowledge I believe I'm the first one to create a map that can play two different minigames. ...If you play purple monster's it's techinally broken, the scoring doesn't make any sense and bloodfire was certainly not the first person to realize you can push people backways with the needler. Even though I did inform him that I was developing a similar game type at the time and he never objected, the game itself is improved to the point where it can actually be played competitively and changing it in my opinion into a competely different game.
