    Description

    Kazu is my newest map and my 3rd post on ForgeHub. I started making this map with Conquest in mind, but I started playing around with it and it turned into a competitive map.It is a symmetrical map set up for Slayer and Capture the Flag. There are two base-like structures at either end of the map, two hallways on the side, and a center structure. There are also 5 Fusion Coils placed around the map to eliminate some camping.

    v1.1 Changes: I put weapon holders on top of the barriers so that they don't move. I also reduced the Plasma Grenade count from 8 to 5. I also made the map inescapeable.

    Battle Rifle - x6 - 30 sec - 2 spare clips
    Assault Rifle - x2 - 30 sec - 2 spare clips
    Shotgun - x1 - 60 sec - 0 spare clips
    Spiker - x2 - 30 sec - 2 spare clips
    SMG - x2 - 45 sec - 2 spare clips
    Plasma Grenade - x5 - 20 sec
    Bubble Shield - x1 - 60 sec

    EDIT*: I changed the name of this map from Xaviera to Kazu because the name Xaviera was already taken. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Not a bad map at all, your interlocking is flawless, and the map doesnt seem overpowered with weapons or pickups. But i would recommend interlocking the boxes above the bubble shield the second to last picture, it would make it a little bit neater. Nice job keep on forging.

    Cool design, but the shotty needs to be replaced by a mauler. Also, take off some of the plasma grenades. 8 is way too many for such a small map. Good job overall, but I think it could be better with my suggestions.

    EDIT: It is VERY easy to escape from this map with a simple grenade jump. I have a solution though. Above the bubble shield there are 3 single boxes "blocking" your escape (they don't really "block" though), delete the singles on the 2 sides of the middle single box and replace them with 2 corner walls (on each side). Problem fixed :)

    EDIT 2: Another thing about the plasmas. The respawn times also seem pretty long. I suggest either A) deleting some plasmas B) make respawn time on plamsas longer or C) replace some plasmas with frags. I prefer a combination of all three. Sorry to be so critical :( It's a good map, it just needs some work.

    EDIT 3: The barriers at the end of bubble hall (where it meets large hall) need an immovable object above them to keep them from moving around so much.

    I like the flow of this map the only problem that I see is the barricades located in the large hallway i played this with a couple of people and those barricades got in the way, so if you took those out it would open the hallway up and make it nicer. The weapon placement is decent, the shotgun should be replaced with a mauler, and you should take out the smg and spiker and put in carbines and maybe a needler or something.

    That's weird. I couldn't get out of the map when I tested it.

    Yeah after playing the map, I realized that there were too many stickies. I played a 1v1 with my brother and 11 of my 25 kills were sticks. I think I'll make the Plasma Grenade count 5 instead of 8.

    I made those barriers there to prevent the two teams from seeing eachother right when the game starts. Also i'm not going to replace the shotgun with a mauler, no matter how many people say I should. I think the weapon choice is good and i'm not going to change it. I will put weapon holders on top of those barriers to keep them from moving like someone asked me to.

    Quote the person, copy the code for it, and then cancel the post and paste the code into the post that you want it to be in.

    The parenthesis would actually be brackets, though.

    I am sorry to say this but my friend xpistolxwhipper made a map with the same name first, coincidence? IDK, but he would probably appreciate you changing the name.
    as for the map, it looks fun and clean, I like the multilevel feel. 4/5

    You need proof and maybe you should ask your friend first before posting. Just and idea :D



    I agree with everything he has said except the shotgun. It is a very good map. I can see the conquest influence on its design. 4/5

    BTW, in my post (2nd post in thread) where I say to replace the 2 single boxes with 2 corner walls, I actually meant to say to replace them with 2 corner walls on each side. Hopefully you didn't get confused.

    But anyways guys, download this map and give it a try. It's really fun with a small party size.

    This map looks pretty cool. I'm not sure if you did that by the bubble shield spawn on purpose (the non interlocked boxes), but it would look better interlocked. The map almost reminds me of a lot of room based maps like MLG Reverence, and I really like the gameplay in those types of maps. I'll play and edit my post.

    edit- never mind what I said about the room based gameplay. I went through it and I actually really like the layout. That shotgun room seemed extremely campy though. Overall it is a pretty cool map.

    The shotgun room really isn't a room. It's more of a cutout sorta thing. Also, there are the fusion coils and fence walls to prevent the camping

    Nice job. from what i can see your map looks pretty great. I like the stair placements, and all the corners. I think you have a nice ballance of cover, and it would play well. 4.95/5

    Downloaded and played with my brother. Very unique map in my opinion. Excellent forging and very neat. My favorite part of the map was the long hallway. I think that the BR's should be set at 45 sec and/or change clips to 1. Very fun though. Good map for a few people to warm up on. 4.5/5!

    it looks good from what i can tell but it seems the only thing i really notice is the boxes on top of the bubble spawn that bothers me as compared to the the rest of the map looks

    I have DL this and done a Forge threw. I will probly play a Small FFA or Doubles on this map. Seems very small cool and collective. Hope to see you forge again soon.

    Yeah a few people have said that already. Since it doesn't really affect gameplay, I may or may not get around to fixing that. Depends on if I have time (Why does every teacher assign homework on the same day!?!?!)

    Interesting what you said about the BR's. When I played, I always went around looking for BR's cuz they were never there... even with the 30 sec respawn. IDK... I love using BR's so maybe it just seemed that way to me.
