POA Bridge Created by Val Recommended Players: 2-6 Recommended Gametypes: FFA Slayer, KotH, Oddball, Juggernaut A successor to Val's Pillar of Autumn map, Forge Hub is proud to have his PoA Bridge grace our front page. This time around, Val decided to delve deeper into Halo CE's Pillar of Autumn and re-create the ship's bridge in great detail. From the Bridge itself with its pilot's seat and controls, to the pit behind it and the narrow access corridors, all have been re-created as closely as possible within the realm of the Forge, and the attention to detail is astonishing. Even the extetior bears much resemblence to the PoA. From computer screens to the chairs and angled glass walls, PoA Bridge is one of the best Halo CE recreations in the aesthetic field of Halo 3's Forge. While maintaining a strikingly stunning form, PoA Bridge still functions as a playable map. A testament to Val's dedication to the cause, players may enjoy FFA games of slayer, king of the hill, oddball, and juggernaut. But don't get caught admiring your surroundings too much, lest you want a foe pistol whiping you in the back. In short, PoA Bridge is stunning, and deserves your DL as one of the best aesthetic pieces to come about in a while. Make sure you congratulate Val for his efforts. Oh yes, I remember this map from the first time I saw it. I still believe that he should have made all of the double boxes blue, or at least the same color, considering that this is an ascetic map, it would look more ship-like that way. Other than that, very well done. Near-perfect recreation.
This was an amazing recreation, I remembered reading it when it was first posted. I also like the other maps that the author has created. Nice Job and Congrats.
This is a beautiful creation, and I'm so glad it was featured. We don't see too many amazing aesthetic maps anymore, so its nice to see some people still giving it their full efforts.
Congrats on the feature. Very well deserved. Your painstaking attention do detail, especially with this map, is amazing. You don't often see remakes like this. They can be much more challenging than creations straight from the mind. I've downloaded it and seen the ungodly resemblance to the actual level from Halo 1, and I wonder how you did it. Better than any competitive map remake if you ask me. 5/5.
pretty good, not to sound assinine but i dont think this really deserves a feature, it is pretty good, if it goes back farther than the pictures show, and is fun playably, then it deserves it, i think. anyways, it is still very well forged, i like the attention to detail, and the consoles sunken into the walls, would be nice to have more pics though 4.5/5
interesting. i had just downloaded this from my random search through the forums and went to the main page only to see that it had been featured @.@ congrats Val! your map deserved to be on the front page!
I absolutely love this map. I remember I saw it as soon as it came out, and immediatly dled it. I remember after that looking at aesthetic maps, and always seeing it on the front page. I can understand this feature, and I think that you very much deserved it. I think you should have color coded the boxes maybe, or fixed some minor bumps I've found, but other than that, its perfect.
all i have to say is that it as only a matter of time before this was featured. Congrats Val. this is one of favorite asthetic maps and it is fun to play around on. This is indeed a trophy to val and it has earned a permanate slot in my maps from the very first time i saw it. beautiful, just beautiful 7/5. keep on forging. One thing i would love to see created is a playable version for infection or big team slayer it would be amazing to play and would be a great thing to do with this map.
This map made me want to check the Aesthetics section too every time I visit FH. It's so detailed and the similarity from that to the original is very close indeed. The hallways and the floors are all so neat. You have made such a stunning space ship map that's even playable. Good job and congrats on the feature.
Congratulations on the Feature Val and I'm sure that we will be seeing a lot more featured from you in the near future! Love this map, however if every box were the same color, it would be that much closer to be the real Pillar of Autum Bridge! Once again, congrats on the feature Val, hope ya get Premium soon dude! Keep up the great work!
Woot Woot! Go Val! See, my grassroots campaign works well. (Psst...Palin, if you can read this, email me)
Hah, the whole reason I saw this map before it got featured was cause of Nemi's sig. Congrats on the feature, about time there was an Aesthetic map. Try playing swords on here, loads of fun.
wow i have to start paying more attention to astetichs maps, did you load up the pillar of autum on halo ce, mamorize something then place it? Our did you just use pictures of the internet? either way this is awesome,. but you may want to raise some of the somputer screens of the ground so they look more realisitic, but thats just my opinion
Both actually. I had a youtube vid of the opening scene that i kept watching over and over again. Then i went on halo CE on the PC and took some pics
aaaaaaaw yes, i remember seeing this a long while ago, sad to say i never downloaded it, but thats probably because im not a huge asthetics fan. whether i am or not, this is still a nice map. i didnt expect it to be featured, but hey, its not my decision to make. and just like everyone else in this thread has said: nice job val
Well deserved, Val. Well deserved. This man is the best on FH at Aesthetic maps, and I believe that this map shows testament to that. Now, to get ONI Amphitheater on the front page... Cheers, Val! Good luck on the premium! Desert Rat 852
oh wow that is actually pretty dam close to the real thing. its funny in the first game i always wandered around the original bridge in amazement and now its been made for me in halo 3, gotta love forge. it could have been made better though if all the boxes were the same color but i know how annoying that is to make it that way. anyways good job and please make us some more remakes
I knew this would be featured the instant I saw the original thread. It's an incredible aesthetic piece.
