This is my new controller. I took it apart, spray painted it, slapped some decals on it, then put on some gloss. Huzzah. This is my first so it has a couple of mess ups but I think it turned out great! And yes, it is wired. Here are some pics: Front Back Overall Hope you enjoy! Well AmercanPsycho (BTW nice ranger), it took two days, and it feel amazing. I put some special primer gloss for plastic on it and the feel and play is awesome. Plus, it's sweat-resistance, in case I have to play Hardcore playlists.
I've been meaning to do this myself, with either my studio logo, or Halo one... Anyway, I don't care much for the jagged black line, especially on the back. The front is okay, but something about it doesn't seem right. Perhaps it is placement? But for your first, not bad.

Looks pretty cool. You could add yellow splats to it to make it look less plain. Are you gonna paint your xbox too?
Be careful with that. Removing the Xbox's outer layer will null and void any warranty you have. I'm sure Microsoft would think something was up when they received a blood red Xbox to fix.

i was looking at some of these on youtube there is some tuts on ther pretty nice looking controllers too like theres some cool tiger ones i saw i liked one made with sharpees preetty cool too just check them out

i wanna make one in the same style as the halo 3 brute one, only like a roman soldier on one side, fighting a spartan on the other side. then the back would have like chariots or something
If you want to mod a case, it might be better to get a removable vinyl made, unless your system is newer.
You'll have to be sure to cover all vents on the system, if any paint vapor gets inside, it'll mess up your system pretty badly. The controller is a good start, although I would have avoided sharp lines as a design. The controller is smooth and curvy, so next time I'd stick with a design that matches the controllers curves. Next time you should pick a color that isn't yet available for a controller... then the custom paint job would be even more bad ass.
yeah like gold or silver or something. maybe gold and red? or maybe like olive green. oh i know, camoflauge. that would be so badass.
