Well why wouldn't it be in code? I'm sure they would be, considering it being on the disk would just make things even more complicated for Bungie than it already is, and they don't wanna deal with that. Take for instance GoW2's "Flashback Map Pack." That was a separate code to get the maps; maps. The code will probably just be in the case itself instead of handed out by your local retailer. Plus, I don't think they would make a "special" disk for the LE just for the maps if you, or anyone else, thinks they will be implemented onto the disk itself. That would be more work into such a simple thing.
I know that, I only wrote that cuz someone was shitting a brick about the maps even though the thread is about the Demo. I'm actually thinking it's going to include a code.
$10 says its set up just like the limited edition of gears 2. They even got a similiar sized book with it, and the steel case. I imagine there are a few set styles that microsoft has set up for packaging and the designers get to choose from the templates at hand. Therefore, there should be a cardboard slip inside the case with the map code/48 hour trial code on it, just like in the gears case. As for the demo, im waiting impatiently. I was under the impression that a playable demo would come out shortly after the first gameplay video came out on the marketplace with that dude narrating the whole thing.
Question is will the demo sway you from buying the game? or will you be like me and just get it anyway because a Halo RTS just sounds sweet. I will be bummed if the Demo gives the game a sucky vibe, but I doubt I'd get a refund for the pre-order I've paid off regardless. Probably going to be one of the only games I get this years ... : /
IGN Video: Halo Wars Xbox 360 Commentary - CES 2009: Developer Commentary This is the demo I think. It doesn't look great tbh.
I was heavily into starcraft, and i like the universe and style of halo alot, so i cannot see this being to my dislike. Even if it isnt one of my favorite games ever, it will still give me some sort of entertainment when im bored. I wouldnt cancel my preorder because i like having the limited edition cases, and i want those damn maps nao.
As a big halo fan i am im really not excited to see this come out. I think that this is going to be terriable in my opinion. But hey who cares about my opinion. (i do)
a few days delay whats the reason for this? just to not release it on saterday? why not release it on saterday i think more people could pick it up and play it quicker that way
First off, I guarantee the new maps will be available for download without the disk, you'll just have to pay for them. Second, I WANT THIS TO COME OUT. The videos are awesome and the reviews say that it has simple controls for a console RTS. I just want it..and sandbox,
As a great man (baron) once posted: "I will be buying Orbital, Assembly and Sandbox on March 3rd. I note that I will also get a free RTS game called Halo Wars along with the maps"
