1: More cowbell" is an American pop culture catchphrase originally derived from an April 8, 2000, Saturday Night Live comedy sketch about the recording of the song "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" by Blue Öyster Cult. The sketch featured guest host Christopher Walken as music producer Bruce Dickinson and Will Ferrell as fictional cowbell player Gene Frenkle. 2: From The Dark Knight movie. 3: Roughly translates to "your promised reward is merely a fictitious motivator". Popularized by the game "Portal" (found on Half-Life 2's "Orange Box" game release for PC, X-Box 360, and PS3). During the game, an electronic voice encourages you to solve intricate puzzles using cake as a motivating perk. When you have "broken out" of the game's initial testing phase (from threat of death), you find scrawls on walls of the innards of the testing center warning you that "the cake is a lie". 4: idk. 5: Pwn (/ˈpoʊn/, /ˈpuːn/, /pəˈʔoʊn/, /ˈpɔːn/, /piˈoʊn/, /pwəˈʔn̩/, /ˈoʊn/) is a leetspeak slang term, derived from the word "own",[1][2] that implies domination or humiliation of a rival, used primarily in the Internet gaming culture to taunt an opponent who has just been soundly defeated (e.g. "You just got pwned!"). Past tense may also be spelled pwnd, pwn3d, pwnt (pronounced with a t sound), or powned (with the standard d sound). 6: idk. 7: The Shining. Remember: Google is your friend!
Thank you very much but when it comes to Pwn, i know what it means, just not sure on its exact origins,i hear it from warcraft 2, as typo on a custon match but, thats jut hear say, you or anyone else have any idea?
I would probably say it started out as a typo... lol Seeing how the "o" is right next to the "p" So instead of owned, it was pwned.
this is a deeper mystery then i thought. where did it all begin? how did it become so popular? Why do i care? it must be discoverd or else nothing bad will happen..i blame the UAE to start for ne reason. but reallly i wonder where it all began
And of course, if you find out, there will be cake! Whisper, what is your evidence that that isn't fake? I can type 1989 on my keyboard as well...
