Utter Randomness! Random Terrain Generator!

    UPDATED TO RANDOM GEN.V1.1 UPDATES IN RED

    ALSO NEW GAME TYPE ADDED START W/ A RANDOM PRIMARY WEAPON + SO PEOPLE CAN'T USE VEHICLES OTHER THAN COVER

    I've once thought this was impossible, but not until I tryed. I have completed V1 of a random terrain generator, it might still have bugs, but its something you've never experianced.

    I call it Random Gen. V1.1, it supports regular team slayer and slayer, it also is great for playing Fat Kid, a popular infection type.

    LAG WARNING: IN THE BEGINING YOU MIGHT EXPERIANCE A LOT OF LAG, DONT WORRY THIS IS TEMPORARY IN THE FIRST FEW SECONDS OF THE MATCH, WHOEVER SMALL AMOUNTS OF PEOPLE ARE RECOMMENDED

    Players: Any, but 2-4 is ideal for less lag

    Weapons: 6 BRs, 2 Shotguns, 2 Snipers, 2 SMGs, 1 Plasma Rifle, 2 Needlers, 1 Brute shot, 2 Grav. Hammers, 1 Carbine, and 1 Stentinel Beam. V1.1 Added 2 Rockets, 1 Lazer, and 1 Fuel Rod Cannon

    Some may ask if it is truely random, but I garentee everytime you play on this map, it will be a different terrain, no matter what. This is possible by puting movable objects in eachother so that they spazz and then separate from eachother, which causes a comepletely random force which throws it anywhich way. The guns are possitioned on top of the movable objects so that they too are found randomly around the map!

    There are all grenades except firebomb and a few equipment like deployable cover to help aid in comepletely new terrains.

    V1.1: Also Since I ran out of movable objects there are a few vehicles to use as exploding cover!

    Thanks for checking it out, its my first map I posted on Forgehub, hope you guys like it, remember just play it on Slayer, Team Slayer, or even infection for a truely hard infection game.

    Thats pretty cool, a map that changes everytime you play it. Mabey you should have some unmoveable objects on the outskirts of the map where everyone spawns.

    Yea, but that would take away from the Completely Random Terrain :(

    I also like this idea, however I feel it could be improved upon. In the three examples you gave us, it seemed as if a large majority of the objects were in the middle, leaving the corners(and likely the sides) quite bare. Maybe, as Maxzy said, build some immovable structures around the edge of the map for some spawn locations and a few weapon spawns, and leave the middle as randomly generated.

    Alrite, as I said this is Version 1 of my map so thanks for the feedback, I'll try to add more objects on the sides and corners :D

    Also, as I just started up my forge to edit it a little, the objects where thrown all the way to the sides and corners, lol so I guess its pretty random where the objects will go, but I will add more objects for even more fun :p

    I had thought of doing something like this when Foundry first came out, but I abandoned the idea as I didn't know about the effects of putting objects inside one another. Congratulations on pulling the idea through!

    Rather than having one large random object generator in the map's center, you could have several medium ones spread throughout the map, or you could keep your one large one and create a few on the outskirts of the map to ensure that the entire map is covered with randomly placed objects every time.

    it would be cool id there were floting man cannons in the air so when the objects spawn they fly down fast and you can get splattered
    but i love the idea of the map looks great fun

    and you culd have some falling all throughout the game, like more random crap

    like timed stuff... and some teleporters that catch stuff as they fall to make platforms,

    Woah man, just picture all of this, on top of an even mediocre map... or maybe... think of all of this on a map right, then over time, random things spawn and fly all across the map. After 3 minutes, the map is now completely covered in different terrain. For even more fun, structures in the map could spawn after time as well. This has some incredible potential, and if you listen to feedback and try to fix everything in version 2, then I think it might be a great map. Another idea is have a few small structures of movable objects in the begining, and using my spawn after start idea, have them completely demolished, say 60 seconds into the game. If you need any help with this, please PM me or send me a FR at Amer1can f0od. I would be very glad to help.

    Edit: I just had an awesome idea. For better functionality and a more stable structure, you could have the most unmovable objects spawn in the beginning, like dumpsters or trucks, then follow up with other large objects, like crates and barriers. This would make the terrain better to play, theoretically. Also, I don't see any fusion coils. Wouldn't one or two be good over the course of the game, to mix things up a bit? Even though it might lag, it would definatly be worth it.

    Edit2: Just read you post, and I would suggest a unlimited budget canvas. By the way, try to make you posts longer. It kind of bugs me. :) And for the lack of movable objects, I suggest waiting until sandbox comes out in a few weeks, it is supposed to have tons of stuff.

    Edit3: Sorry for another edit, but I just played the map and I have to say it's amazing. The only thing I don't like is that you do have more money, and you could use other movable objects, like barrels, propane tanks, grav lifts, roadblocks, street cones, and fusion coils. I'm sorry, but this map could really be awesome if you did a little more improving. Also, a custom gametype would be pretty awesome. I'm serious about my offer though dude, I would be glad to help, even for no credit. One more thing. If you could do this on a map with a more pleasing terrain than a flat floor, that would be awesome. I was thinking a half of avalanche, even though I understand it doesn't have many movable objects. Also, you might could add vehicles, small things like a few mongeese or even a warthog.

    Yea, the only problem is I ran outta movable objects AND money T.T If there is a dublication cheat that really works well i'd love to hear it

    i would make a tower or temple high so nobody can get on but it would take more space away from emptiness and have weapons shoot from man cannons for random that is if you didn't do that already

    how dare you i was thinking of doing something like this! lol, very nice idea (i had the same one) having a different map every time you play, without have to change the map! brilliant!! but if you were to make a better looking one try using a basic (very basic) outline of a map but no items and just..... well i dont want to wright too nuch, just FR me and ill tell you about what im thinking of. i have a contraption that would make this even more random. my gamertag is Obibital.

    wow,,, it was my idea to do the timed stuff, hence my post being before urs. andand a gravlift would get you out of the map if it landed in the right position.......

    and aqbout the map, if you completely block off the out side of the map it would make it better... this maps kinda like hurricane katrina with random stuff flying at you, only in a different way

    Yea, but I kinda ran outta money. Besides its almost impossible to get out, and if you do theres nothing over there, so they would either kill themselves or ask someone to chuck a few nades over to kill them with, thanks anyway for the advice

    this is funny as hell i have thought of this before but i thought it wouldent work. i know its ramdom but i think u could turn it into a map were your being bombed by somethink and two bases on either side it would be more competitve and it would be even more fun! 5/5 if u make a version like my idea 6/6

    Cool idea, I might make another map like this, or add in bases for team slayer on this map. And 5/5 and 6/6 are the same thing xD
