Okay, I just got my Xbox magazine for this month, and it mentioned NXA.

    FAQ

    Q What is NXA?
A NXA is a game maker that allows you to create your own arcade games.

    Q Is it free?
A pfft... "is it free". NO. Like everything else to do with Xbox Live, this isn't free. You pay £30 for four months or £65 a year to have access to the game creating programs. But the upside is, you get 70% of all profits made when your game is sold.

Q Is it hard to use?
A Supposedly not. The magazine claims that a complete beginner can get 3D shapes moving around the screen and interacting with each other in an hour. Pretty impressive.

Q Can everyone use it, or it another US exclusive feature?
A The mag says everyone can use it, but it doesn't mention regions. Gray area.

Q What are the steps to making a game?
A 1) Programming the game. Usually takes about 8 days to make a good game, apparently
    2) Submission. You must give it an age-rating, and you post it in a similar way that you post maps to FH.
    3) Feedback. People on the forum test the game and report bugs and issues. If the game crashes, it has to be resubmitted. Once all faults are fixed, it goes through to peer review
    4) When (and if) your game gets 10 peer reviewers' seal of approval, it goes through to the marketplace. You made a game! Woo!

Q How much do they cost? Can I choose the price?
A The prices are: 200 points, 400 points or 800 points. And yes, you choose how much to charge.

Q Do you get trial downloads?
A Yes, but they only last 4 minutes which sucks because the game maker can't really prove much in 4 minutes, and it pressures people to buy too much IMO

There you go. Use this thread to discuss what games you would make, and I'll update the FAQ with your questions as you ask them.

    Discuss.
