ok, I have a question about these maps since I can't tell from Bungie's ver vague weekly updates. So there's 6 new maps, Longshore, Citadel, Heretic, Orbital, Assembly, and Sandbox (I think, not sure about heretic, forgot whats it's called lol) but they keep mentioning Orbital, Assembly, and Sandbox as being released with Halo Wars: Limited Edition or whatever, so does this mean in order to get those maps you need to buy Halo Wars, or does it just mean they're being released at the same time? Thanks! -Ninja
I believe they are released with Halo Wars and available on Xbox Live. Can't be too sure though, because they might just pu them all out with Halo 3: ODST in the fall.
The maps Sandbox, Assembly and Orbital will be sold with the limited edition version of Halo Wars as a special incentive to buy the game. After a few days or weeks, the maps will be released to the marketplace like map packs normally are. They have not specified how long the maps will be before they hit the marketplace. i dont imagine long. As for the other three, they will be basically the same deal, only with Halo3:ODST. They will come with that expansion disk, and probably hit the marketplace shortly after for those who dont wish to purchase the campaign disc.
I believe TSB was confused there. We're all human, but you never know. I also believe that it is coming with ODST, but you know Bungie - They do stuff you don't believe.
Do you have a link to the source? I'm sure Sandbox was to come out with ODST, but the other two WILL come with Halo Wars.
sandbox, assembly and orbital will come with ODST as well. This information is all clearly in bungies updates... one could argue "well, then why havent they shown anything about sandbox then!?". simple. Its a forging map. Its the big thing that all the fans keep asking for. why in the world would they reveal it first? you guys dont know how to market things very well... here
Oh, well sorry for the confusion. Never saw that post there. Though, I would have thought Sandbox would have been out with the expansion, just because the hype would have grew emmensly.
its been over a year since Foundry was released. they know they cannot keep the fans waiting... we need something new.
being a massive video game company isnt always easy. i look at everything they do as a gesture of kindness and accept it for whatever it is. still the best company ever, and we're all spoiled rotten.
An alternate reality game (ARG) is an interactive narrative that uses the real world as a platform, often involving multiple media and game elements, to tell a story that may be affected by participants' ideas or actions Basically like what Bungie did for Halo 2: Ilovebees, Iris, The Superintendent, etc.
Alternative Reality Game. Basically a story that you get to interact with. Like Ilovebees. Or, see above.
I do love the superintendent. it goes to show that Bungie cares about its fan, unlike may other companies.
ohhhhhhhh. gotcha. i like all the games and hints they give. like the coding that was a secret message about Cold Storage releasing on Bungie Day.
Beat ya to it bud  I actually was not able to be in on the Ilovebees ARG but iris was very cool. Though, I am proud to say I was one of the people who posted alot at B.net about the Superintendent.
