Okay everyone, the point is that the newest halo was in 2007 and were talkin about 08. So any other games?
You might be the biggest idiot i have ever met, and thats saying a lot. Also, are you going to add Fallout 3, because i would have to disagree. It was an example of what a shooter game is.
Because Halo is an example of a shooter. Is Halo on the list for shooters released in 2008? No, it is on the list of shooters.
If I am constantly shooting a gun in a game, wouldn't you think that game is a shooter? Although it's got strong RPG elements, why should anyone take out of consideration that Fallout 3 is a FPS-RPG hybrid? Also, why the **** do sources want to call it an 'Action' Role-Playing game? No ****!!! I can't remember an RPG that lacked action.
I'm debating with myself right now whether to place it on the list. Perhaps I will discuss it with Randle.
Fine.. you do that. Since Fable II has guns, and i'm constantly shooting, i nominate that. Sounds dumb huh? I don't think too many games should be in multiple categories. Games will now be placed into genres as described by the makers of said game. Bethesda describes Fallout 3 as "...an RPG with shooter elements." Fallout 3 =/= Shooter
True, Fallout is way more of a shooter than fable, i just don't think Fallout should be labeled as a Shooter.

Adding Fallout 3 to the list would be similar to in 2007 adding Mass Effect to it. Fallout is considered an RPG because of VATS, which targets an enemy for you. Sure you can aim, but VATS really supports that. Mass Effect is the same way, you can aim yourself, but they have a way to aim with the click of a button. Shooters also contain no player chosen dialogue.
He means dialogue that progresses through a story. And before you get nit picky and say that the dialogue in L4D progresses the story of the campaign, you know what we mean.
I disliked it. My own personal opinion. Fallout 3 is a great shooter, and is also a great RPG. Put it in both categories, major game-sites do it all the time. Wrong. **** Fable II.
