    Ladies and gentleman, good people of FH, I now present to you: High Voltage!!

    The product of collaboration between myself: GD BlueDevil and BlazeIsGod. You may see the pictures and think "wait a minute wasn't this supposed to be a reimagination of Code Impulse?" Well the answer is yes, it was. But while making it High Voltage became something totally different. You can notice simalarities between High Voltage and Code Impulse pretty easily though. They are both: meant for one sided objective for smaller parties, both have geomerged mancannons leading up to another level, both have the trucks in the attacker's base and both use only one of Foundry's back bases.

    Unlike Code Impulse though, this map is made from the ground up for gameplay and spawn placement. My partner Blaze did the spawns to perfection and I forged the layout from start to finish. Also, Sdrakulich assisted us majorly on weapon placement providing the final touch to High Voltage.

    The map's weapons:
    1 sniper rifle,
    1 spartan lazer,
    1 plasma turret,
    1 gravity hammer,
    Several BRs and carbines,
    2 SMGs and
    2 plasma rifles

    In the near future, I don't think Blaze and i will be collaborating on another map. Blaze is currently working on many projects (all excellant BTW) and as for myself, I am building a Team doubles map which is turning out soooo much better than I predicted it to be. I have the name... but its classified.

    lol jk its wonderful... i remember looking at this with you a while ago and saying something like OMGhax

    and now it looks spectacular... dled

    My ***** ass had to wait until I had 999 posts before posting so it could be #1000!! Yeh it has come a long way since you last saw it and i wanted to make sure it was completely perfect before revealing it to the FH community.

    finaly. been trying to post this for 1, 2 months now?
    having played a few games on this, its great.

    The only things i would change are the splazer to rockets, and do something to make the back areas more enticing during regular gameplay.

    All I can say now is AMAZING. Ever merge and geo-merge is perfect. It looks really really fun. I love one sided games and I cant wait to get a game on this. There was amazing geo-merges in the attackers base and in the back alley. I really like how the defenders base is up higher like a sniper tower. Instead of me telling you what I like about the map i might aswell tell you what i dont, NOTHING :). I can really see this as being fetured. So since I like this map this much I will give it a 6/5 Keep Forging.

    I moved a turret and invisability to the corners so the gameplay includes the corners very much. Specially on One flag :)

    Wasnie turned me into an atheist because God wouldn't have created him lol JK I am a jew!

    This map has truly come a long way, from the point I joined your party, and staying in it mind you for hours on end helping you, to this point. Through Blaze's RRoD, and his popsicle methods ;), to where the camo and turrets should go.

    This map continues to provide strategies still to be found out, and I'll share a quicky with you guys right now. Hammer/Mauler spawn. Jump onto the ledge before the overhang, and jump onto the overhang. Great spot.

    Couldn't the hammer be used to break out of the map in that one area I showed you? But anyways, great map Devil 5/5. I loved testing this with you.

    Great map. Sniper spawn is perfect. How and where did you get that fence in front of the Choppa?

    I just played a game of three versus three Team Slayer so I came to post my review of High Voltage.

    Layout - 9/10
    The general feel of the map is great. The walkways and the floating bunker were the main focus of the battle. I personally appreciated the man cannons, they really allowed for you to sneak up on the other team if they controlled the walkways. I think a couple more pillars to break up the lines of sight would balance things out even more.

    Aesthetics - 10/10
    The smoothness of the map and inclusion of objects to fill in fences is a really nice touch. Not much can be said about your aesthetics because you didn't over do it, and you didn't just leave it looking too bare. I'd say that's all that needs to be done on a Competitive Map.

    Weapons - 10/10
    The weapons seemed to balance each other out in different ways. The map's too open for the Hammer to dominate. It can be useful in moving up too the walkways and quickly dispatching anyone up there with a few swings, and a well planned charge. The Spartan Laser's slow charge time, and limited ammo make it a shot lived upper hand, that lacks the ability to compete in close quarters. It does have the capacity to give one team a quick jump to the lead if used correctly. The Sniper is probably the most useful weapon on the map if it's in the right hands. Effectively taking out opposing players in tight spaces with well placed head shots. It becomes the forerunner in ranged fighting, easily taking out an annoying Spartan Laser. The Battle Rifles and Carbines helped support your team, and with a little cooperation, could even down anyone with a power weapon. The SMGs and Plasma Rifles did the same thing, but at a short range. A single person dual wielding an SMG and Plasma Rifle could take out several players with some luck and a good charge.

    Equipment - 7/10
    I don't remember any pieces of equipment on the map besides power ups. If there were, then they weren't a real influence on the gameplay. I don't really have any suggestions except place more memorable pieces of equipment, something that really gives the upper hand in fights and becomes a big part of a players strategy.

    Gameplay - 9/10
    The gameplay was phenomenal, providing a balanced and memorable match. The weapons were amazing, the spawns were just as good, if not better. I think the only thing holding this map back is the equipment. Putting certain equipment in the right places can make a person's movement more tactical and predetermined.

    Overall - 90%
    High Voltage can only be called a stunning master piece of Forge. I've stated my opinions, and I think if you work out the kinks this map will most certainly be featured. I can honestly say High Voltage will be on my hard drive for quite awhile.

    I don't understand what you mean as there is no equipment, seeing that there is a bubble-shield, power drainer, and regen, in addition to there being an invis on the map. Seeing as you played only 3v3 slayer, the bubble shield can only do so much. One flag provides a rush for which team can remember that 60 seconds in, bubble shield spawns on the wall in attackers base. You get that, you basically do amazing.

    Drak is right.. The bubble works really well with one flag and is placed nicely for the attacking team to grab on the way out of there base.

    The power drain can be thrown into the lift which helps quiet a bit for assisting.

    You have just made my 5th All-Time favorite forged map.

    I loved every single bit of this map. Although i haven't even played team games here, I have only played 1v1 matches. Those matches were all spectacular, I had such a great time playing on this map even though I am only playing with 1 person.

    I could see that you have done some minor changes to the map like transferring the Active Camo to the bunker and removing the roof of the bunker. I also observed that you moved the Plasma Turret to the former Camo spot. Also, it's great that you removed those window panels at the attacker's base because it would be somewhat difficult to kill the camper. I'm not sure if I'm correct, but you also transferred the Sniper Rifle. All those changes are very reasonable, except that the roof from the bunker was removed.

    The merging and the interlocking I have seen in this map is really one of the best. I'm not quite sure if anyone could observe this from just looking at the pics, but a fence box was carefully angled and merged to the ground to give some aesthetics and support for the trucks in the attacker's base. The man cannons, which serves as Gravity Lifts, are such a nice touch to the map. Also, the fence box merged to the hallway with the Brute Chopper in it was simply genius.

    All the weapons placed in the map are all in a very reasonable location. The Spartan Laser's location was wisely chosen to give a more exciting game play feel. The place of the Gravity Hammer might not be my style, but it would do. Also, I would suggest that you would put the Sniper in a more leveled place and that it is not facing outwards.


    To end my review, I would like to congratulate you three for creating such an awesome map. I see a very bright future for this map...

    I've play-tested the map from when Blue Devil made some crazy archway that led to some window panel box so I think it is safe to say that this map has come a long way. The map itself is a bit iffy. I played on it quite a lot, and just recently with Sdrak. I think that the map brings elevation to it. It makes or breaks the map for people. Personally, I don't really like it. The high ground usually wins in every fight. Not to mention that the Spartan Laser and Sniper Rifle is mainly only available to Defenders. Again, not a bad thing but not a good thing either. It is however a bad thing that the defender's don't really have a chance at seeing where weapons spawn when they're HV virgins. The Gravity Hammer, I think, is a poor choice for the map. The map, for the most part, is open. The only place it is not open, is the Hammer spawn.

    The only thing that I would or could suggest for this map is a weapon re-evaluation, some more cover and less random aesthetics touches like the truck road-block thing. It is a big waste of money and it doesn't effect gameplay that much.

    last time I checked 80% was a B- or a C+ according to my last Spanish Test. Asians were never meant to speak Spanish :p

    P.S- I wont base my review on the hate that burns with a thousand white hot, burning suns of sdrakulich. lol had to include that. :D

    That was in November and we have done some major changes since I made tat archway.


    Believe me sir, or mam I don't know :) The elivation was greatly taken into account. Now the mauler/gravity hammer spawn (depending on the game your playing) will help you get to the spartan lazer. If you and a friend stand on both the team's starting points, you can easily tell that the spartan lazer is the same distance for both teams. Try it if you don't believe me.

    The attacker's get gravity hammer and bubble shield, and have good access to the invisability too. The invisability and Spartan Lazer both play like the Pit because in the beginning both teams rush for the rockets and invis.

    Don't degrade the map on when you last played it. Play a game on the released version. There are no cheap advantages like elivation that will promise a team of winning.

    Mabey edit your review because the only thing you said that was bringing High Voltage down was the equiptment which is limited by slayer in the entire Halo 3 game. Play a few games of One Flag and see if you change your mind :)

    I was planning on it. I didn't really have a group that wanted to play CTF, so I just went with Slayer. I was thinking of playing some more on it, deleting my old review, and posting a new one. I'd realy like to give you an A+ on this one ;)
