Phagocyte Created by HomerSPC and xFr1ct10nx Supported Gametypes: Team Slayer, Team Oddball, Team CTF Map Description I created this map with no real purpose in mind. I just started throwing stuff together and it worked out. The Arch was one of the hardest parts to fit, and it still isn't perfect. I and xFr1ct10nx spent about a month on this, testing was done in my forums Community Game Nights (SourGruntProductions). The spawns will only work for the specified gametypes above, and for 3v3 at the most. If you play 2v2 we suggest to adjust the spawn settings to 3 seconds. We will be coming out with a V2 to fix all the little bumps and to perfect the spawns for free for all games, and add the other gametypes. ehh nothing original (beginning to see less of this around forgehub these days). Pretty good interlocking 3/5 but theres just nothing that stands out worth DLing
I can see you worked pretty hard on the map. Good job. I really like the ceiling. Some parts seem a little open and the map is kinda average. Nice one, nonetheless.
Thanks. in the V2 we will most likely add some geometry to the map. Oh, and its not your run of the mill map. It has a Spartan Lazer as the power weapon, and it works very well.
ya really, how long have u been around forgehub, dow, to see that the maps have declined in quality, u should have seen the first maps that were featured here. compared to the other thousands of maps i see, this one stands pretty well.
Having been given a forgethough by Friction about 2 weeks ago, I must say, Bravo! The bridge arch, or the phagocyte arch, is quite origional and it snuggles right into place on the map. The geometry-merges are good and solid, the map unbreakable. Good job. And one more thing, a custom infection gametype should be released alongside v2, I feel like it would work well with a basic infection gametype. Custom Game should be dubbed "phagocytosis" the prossces that phagocytes go through ;?)
Phagocytosis: Thanks Mace. Glad to see you like it. We basically built the map from the wall out staying in certain boundries, so that is why the arch fits so good. And before your post I never thought about a custom infection game for this map, but now that I look back at it I think it would be a pretty good game. No camping
Hola BJ, im back from ma trip, glad to see you got it posted without my help(lolz) anyways, i really enjoyed working with you on this map, and i swear if it werent for this map; you'd be on Gears 2 all day every day until xmas. I like Maces idea on the infec. gametype and i think it work well, i dont really expect this map until its 3rd version (since it still needs a few little minor touch ups). we may add more gametypes in later, but i hope you all like what we have out now, and dload it. it is a wonderful map. P.S. Homer(BJ) you may want to add in a weapon/equipment list
lol bj, (do you know that this means?) also i forgot to add, this maps above foundry floor geometry feels like moon waffle, which is good, gives it a familiar feel
F*ck dow. Its the gameplay that counts and the gameplay ROX! though a V2 with slightly better interlocking and geomerging would be nice.
I remember testing this. You guys would run around and scream when I came around the corner lol... This map was hella fun for 2v2. spawns needed work back then but I hope you fixed that. Great map for anyone who loves close-quartered fighting

Oh ya we fixed that a while ago, however the FFA slayer spawns got messed up somehow, they were all set for FFA games but everyone would always spawn where Blue Team Starting Points were. Of course i know what it means, do you want me to spell it out for ya? plus it degrades him too thats why i call him that, lols jk(accually its an inside joke, so thats why)
Wrong lol. Whoever got the sword won. I had a good time testing this with you guys, it came out well. Where the flag return spawn is, near the standing up double box, doesn't get used enough though. You guys should add some bomb geometry around there. Spawns are better nao, I remembee playing it and it was a big improvement. Anything more then 2v2 and it gets crowded. It's nice guys, you and Friction did a nice job on it. It's a huge improvement from the original design you showed me a while back. It changed a lot. Also: I noticed you added a roof to it,all the way across right? Good call.
swords gone now btw, its a Laser and works quite well. We kinda got the idea for DTLs map Slate Creek: small-medium map + Laser + Fair amount of open spots w/ enough cover = fun time
I can honestly say this looks like an amazing map. I've got it queued and hopefully it will download. I'm running out of space and my queue seems to be piling up.
There was always going to be a roof But it was going to be one of the last thing I was adding, and it turned out we had enough stairs to double task it - The stairs one side is too steep to be able to be climbed on, which led to the inescapable map. Thanks for all the great feedback guys
