Machinima Recruiting _________________ Hey, everyone not been on here much lately though I'm baaack. mg: Wishing you all a happy new year and I hope you all got what you wished for over the 'holidays' (Oh yes, very politically correct) I recently watched a machinima on youtube which was particularly well done: 'Halo Cloverfield' basically it has the .mp3 of the real movie wrapped around the acting in Halo 3. This spurred me up a great idea, how about we do a: 'Fast In The Furious' Tokyo Drift? Halo 3 version? I will be able to do all the capturing for the movie, I will also be able to upload it to my youtube account. This could also be a great way to advertise forgehub, lets face it it's not as popular as it used to be. Though with alot of intrest in the machinima will bring alot of intrest into forgehub.com Are you intrested? * You must be able to watch certain scenes of the movie. * You must have fun. * Be able to act the scenes correctly. Notes: - Don't be annoying in the acting annoying bla bla, like shouting or singing over the mic. There will have to be alot of FORGING done to make this machinima a success like, in FNF Tokyo Drift there are massive parking lots that will be pretty fun but difficult to forge, though I think if everyone gets envolved here we can make this a laugh and also rack in the members to this amazing community. Thanks for reading up, Steve x My Gamertags: Steeveness Aim Hiiiiigh
LOL Totally misunderstatement. I don't know when the last time you were on but we already have enough members. We don't need any more.
would you be doing this all over xbox live, because remember you cant put weapons down over live. I could build some of the sets for you if you want. For the machinima im doing myself i am building all the sets, so i could probably make some good looking sets for this machinima. also if you are doing tokyo drift with the sound from the movie that is a copyright infringement and could get attacked by the film company. but if you make an original script about car racing i would happily help. i should be on tonight. send me a FR my GT is meGa Thumbss.
Yeah, though I'll have the Copyright summary in the sidebar, so it should be OK and plus the movie is over 3 years old. They don't pay people to look up copyrighting non stop.
What?!? First of all, items don't go in to the public domain (so anyone can use them) for 70 years after the copyright holder dies. In this case, its a film studio, there not going to 'die'. 3 years is barely anything. Secondly, yes they do pay people to look for copyright infringment. Not the YouTube staff, but companies will have lawyers and people who will report content if it is infringes the companies' copyright. Like the RvB videos, some of those are 5 years old, yet Rooster Teeth still requested they be removed. You can't just display the copyright info in the description and everyones happy. Anyway, sure, go ahead and make a Halo themed Fast and Furious. I recommend using turretless vehicles, make the film look less like the military having play time!
Its just better to be safe than sorry. You could spend ages producing a brilliant film then use a song from some band you like, the music company can then come along and there goes your video, which I imagine would feel terrible!
I've been thinking... Tokyo drift is gonna be so hard. As theres alot of people envolved. Got any ideas?
