Oooh Snap! Dont get me started on the Visions drums .. Holy S***! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0p1nUkhsfA
Thanks for all the answers. For my research, let me clear things up a bit. I'm looking for the hardest song (played on guitar) on RB/GH with the most notes. Basically, I want the song that looks the most horrifying on screen, not with you playing it. Amount of notes over most difficulty (TTFTF vs. DWDTG = TTFTF).
TTFAF has 3722 notes at 7:21. TDWDTG has 3087 notes at (roughly) 6:03. TTFAF: (About) 8.394 notes per second. TDWDTG: (About) 8.504 notes per second. It's too small of a difference to notice, so just watch both the videos and decide for yourself.
GH: Bark At The Moon GH2: Jordan (Although "Six" is pretty hard at times) GH 80's: Play With Me GH3: Through Fire and Flames I've beaten every song on all four of these games on expert, so nothing is that hard, but The Devil Went Down To Georgia and Through Fire and Flames gave me tons of trouble until I learned a trick. Either way, I went between both songs trying to beat one of them and the first one I beat was TDWDTG. After I beat that I tried TFAF 3 times and beat that too. Anyways, I don't play/like Rock Band and I haven't played GH:WT yet so I can't tell you which of those are the hardest songs. HOLY ****! That song on the drums is insane! He would have to have two base pedals set up for that... That was amazing...
Definitely TTFAF. I'm pretty good at Guitar Hero 3, but seriously, I cannot beat the song on expert. I try so many times, yet I fail. Always.
I'd say Raining Blood and Green Grass and High Tides. I never really bothered with TTFAF (mostly because Activision charted it for difficulty not for accuracy) or Jordan since there was no need to. But even though RB2 had overall more difficulty, I still managed to beat every song, but I never got around to beating GGaHT. Also, Raining Blood was tough, but I finally beat it.
I honestly think that Devil went down to Georgia is harder than Through the Fire and Flames. Have you ever played that song other than when you battle Lou? It's ****ing insane. Once you get passed the beginning part for TTFAF, it's easy from there until the solo. DWDTG has a solo for almost the whole song so that makes it incredibly hard.
I have a question. When you say the hardest song, are you talking the hardest song to beat or the hardest song to FC? To beat I'd say TTFAF but to FC is definately the Devil Went Down to Georgia. I beat DWDTG before TTFAF, but at the beginning of DWDTG those notes that come really fast are 20 notes per second, which is extremely fast to strum. Not to mention Solo K which has the most random note layout, but the hard parts in DWDTG are spread out far enough that you can gain star power and not fail. But in TTFAF, once the solo starts, it can get pretty tricky because the star power phrases aren't too easy to hit.
All of you are naive, TTFAF is easy ****, It is a Tie between Caprici di Diablo and Thrasher, they are easy to pass, but hard us ****ing **** to 5 star. Guitar Hero 3 is easy Rock band 2 Ftw!!! Edit: I can beat every song on expert drums except for Shoulder to the Plow, I don't know why that god forsaken song is so tricky, yet visions and panic attack are easy -_-
Thrasher is nothing! All you have to do is be good at start and stop alt strumming, and then there is the easy solo. And you think TTFAF is easy to 5*?
Thrasher is hard to 5 star do to the small hit window you have to strum notes, TTFAF is easier to 5 star than thrasher in that case, TTFAF is hard to 5 star its just really easy to pass.
I would have to say green grass and high tides. THat was ridiculous, and run to the hills for drums. To beat run to the hills on drums for expert endless setlist, we had one person on guitar, one on bass, one playing the bass pedal, one playing the red pad and another playing the other three. It was fun. But my friend can do every other song on expert except that for drums.
I just recently 4* TTFAF, and I can 5* Thrasher. If TTFAF is "easy as ****" and Thrasher is a hard 5* for you, then something is wrong... I'm also assuming that since TTFAF is so easy for you that you have over 850k on it. The only argument you have is that the RB timing window is smaller than the GH3 one, but the solos aren't even that hard, and if you can't alt strum that and keep some sort of combo, then you aren't good at TTFAF.
Visions isn't a song. It is a random compiling of notes that is **** out onto the screen at insanely fast intervals.
