I've been finalizing a map for testing, mostly working on the spawns, and I can't find a system that works.

The map is 3 somewhat small rooms in a row with a long hallway connecting the first and third rooms. I've tried no respawn areas, which resulted in spawn camping. I've tried 2 areas covering half the map each, more spawn camping. I've now set up 3, 1 covering the long hall, 1 in the first room, and 1 in the third room. Will this work? What will? Also, I have about 40 spawns. It's a 2v2 map if that helps too.

Another thing I don't understand: There are 2 spawns in the corner of a room, and right below those spawns there are 14 safer spawns, and yet, the majority of the time, we spawned at the two up top where most of the spawn camping occurred. What gives?

Spawning can be tricky in Halo 3. Sometimes it is questionable why someone spawns in the most unexpected place. What it will try to do is respawn you in an area furthest from the opposing team members but sometimes when they're moving around a lot, it shooses a spot for you to repawn away from the opposing team but then they'll show up there in the last second, therefore you will have spawned right beside them. It also happens a lot in small maps too. I suggest maybe adding less repawn points and possibly no respawn areas. Try it and see what happens.

Alright, haven't tried that yet, thanks.

As for spawning right next to someone, the spawn camping occurred in a Team Snipers game and the other team could pretty much guess my spawn all game. They would watch the corner at all times, they weren't moving a whole lot.
