    Elm Street v1.5 (new version of map)

    Map Title:Elm Street v1.5
    This is House of Horror revamped (Infection map and game variant.)

    Download Map
    Download Gametype: Vampire
    (10 to 1, this game type has been done, but I made a new one anyway.)
    Description:
    After the Flood were removed from Earth, a few of the bodies still contained the infection. They attacked and killed everyone in the city. You are sent to eradicate this taint... or be made to join them.

    I know there are still some errors in the Geomerging, but I will try to fix them in later versions.

    Geomerged and got rid of the shotty (now the zombies have a better advantage also)

    Er... it still does but the walls are put together a little better.

    I have a new game type added. And the house is now put together better so there will be a little less flaiming.

    Lotsa little houses and garages now with almost all the FCs gone.

    Had to, I am persistent. And I know it has been done to death.

    Took me about two weeks to get this last update done, so the time does show.


    Now, I know that this map still sucks, but I will try to smooth out all the interlocking and geomerging in later versions.

    NO ONE else coment about the lack of pictures in this post. He has been informed and has 24 hours to get the post up to standerds.
    I will be checking in on thje map to see what it looks like in a little.

    Please excuse my lack of pictures. I did not realize that they did not show up in the OP. As soon as I can get on the computer I will add all my pictures of this map and make sure that they stay. Sorry about that.

    Edit: And I was never informed except by looking at the your post.

    Edit: The pictures have been uploaded properly.

    And how do you change the title so that it will show the game type (I want it to be infection). Again I am sorry.

    I'm sorry, but this has been seen waaaayyy to many times before. alot of little building scattered at the edges of the map and alot of laggy fushion coils in the middle.

    I'm sorry, but you need to browse the forums first and try to determine what you can do that hasn't been done before.
    People just won't Dl a map that they've seen before.

    Also, please take time to interlock and geomerge. That's also a big deterrent from your map.
    Finally, it appears that everyone would just try to camp on this map. Infection has now evolved to a game where you have to walk around to stay safe and use teamwork. With this, I think you could sit in the corner with a shotgun and kill away.

    I don't know, I'm not trying to be harsh, but it disappoints me when I see so many of these generic, 20min makes, of infection games.

    This map lacks a lot of neatness to it, the wall are sloppily put together. Maybe make a v2, you should also add interlocking and geomerging, for it will increase the quality of gameplay and smoothen every thing out. This map isn't exactly based around orginality either I have seen many of these types of maps. Um.... like i said make a v2 and add some nifty features in there to maximize gameplay. :)

    wow, this map looks alot like the maps i made on tuesday, i got chewed out for doing this kind of thing.

    Let me whisper something in your ear...

    Forgehub will never, ever, give you a good review unless your map is interlocked, do not ask me why, i don't understand it either.

    as well, it appears to have no actual gametype to be played with it, which alone isn't a big deal but when combined with a hastily pieced together house-like object your just asking for a flaming. im not saying this in a mean way, i'm saying that the people here at forgehub will be completely merciless with this kind of thing. i would know.

    no offence- but this map is laking- a lot....

    It is just a few houses on the side of the map- then the entire middle part of Foundary is empty- just fusion coils....

    hey man welcome to forgehub take a look around the fourms ecspecially casual maps
    see what your up against? also check out forging 101 this map has been done so many times and i dont want to rant, and im not being mean but listen this is important
    never ever make a map like this again, EVER and while your at it never do a fat kid our fast no shield zombies it will save you a lot of grief

    Cool, you got the pics up. I do have to say that this has been done a lot but still, it is ok. Next time you make a map try to add something special and unique to your maps. This is what makes a certain map stand out. I am glad to see you correct your your post and I look to see more maps from you and improvement. 3/5 keep forging and it will get better.

    Well, thanks for the feedback, whether good or bad. I'll see what I can do for a new map or a v.2 map or something. The responces don't see that bad for my second map made.

    Now, how do you guys think I should fill the middle (I didn't use any infinite money maps for this, so it also counts for the lack of objects), what should I take out or put in, and if this map is so horrible and you think I should make a new one, how should I do it?

    And for this being done too much, I haven't seen any of them on any of the download pages so I thought mine would be more... "original".

    try going to the forging 101 page and doing some of those tricks.
    including those in your maps makes it far mroe appealing.

    Welcome to Forgehub. I hope you like it here. I advise that, before posting again, you check out some guides in the forums to learn the rules and expectations. Also you should check out some forging 101. Read the threads and just spend a while practicing all the techniques. Another thing to consider is to check out some of the maps in the forums. You can learn greatly from other peoples' maps.

    Now for a review. I think that you can improve, even if you didn't know much about forging. You should learn to take a little more time in your maps. Trust me you will learn that even just a little extra effort on your map, screenshots, or your post can make a huge difference. I am glad though, that you sound like the type who will try to take all the constructive criticism you can and put it to good use. I hope you keep at it and improve. Trust me, in forging practice DOES make perfect.

    I feel I should also tell you that you are brave for trying to make an infection map. Almost all of the infection maps are carelessly made so people over look them. You are going to have to make a massive break-through or an amazing map to get very much popularity. Another thing I'll tell you is that when it comes to forging, CREATIVITY is of the up most importance second only to time.

    I have redone the map and I have high hopes that I will get better than 1/5.

    (Everything after this post in new and I don't know the protocol on making a new version of the map and uploading it into the forums)

    Sorry for the recent DP, I have deleted that post.
