**** Zombies In Halo 3

    **** Zombies in Halo 3


    The other morning, i woke up and started thinking of ideas to forge up, because i haven't made an actual forgehub map contribution yet. I looked down at the world at war case, and the idea popped up. Sure, i'm probably not the only one who's though of this, but i'm making a thread on it. (This is because i haven't got the patience to make the map myself ^^ )


    Here are some simple Ideas to keep you interested


    Windows - In the game, zombies can bypass windows, (If the windows are unrepaired*) a way to do this, is to lock a mongoose, chopper or ghost into place, and let zombies get on vehicles but not humans. Then the zombie would have get off on the other side. Obviously, to barricade the windows, the humans would use pallets or similar movable objects. However, this will affect how easily the humans can see past the barricades.


    Zombies - Obviously they'll be pretty slow, and unfortunately, you can't change the speed of the zombies per each death, so they'll have to be pretty slow, However, a solution to the wave problem is with custom power ups that appear after a certain amount of time. Anyway, I advise setting the zombie health to take about two or 3 headshots with say, a carbine, this'll make the body shots take about 6 to kill. I think this is pretty similar to how it is on world at war.. Personally, i'd make them one hit kill to make up for the negative perks they have.





    Weapons - Here's the substitute list From what i can think of on the spot..
    • M1A1 Carbine - Carbine
    • Kar98k - Battle rifle
    • BAR - Assault rifle
    • Frags and stickies - Frags and stickies
    • Ray gun - Fuel rod
    • Thompson - SMG?
    • MP40 - Spiker?
    • Browning M1919 - Detached Turret
    • M2 Flamethrower - Flamethrower
    • PTRS-1 - Sniper Rifle
    • Gewehr - Carbine
    • Kar98k with scope & remaining snipers - Beam Rifle
    • Molotov cocktail - Firebomb Grenades
    • Panzerschrek - Rocket launcher
    • MG42 - Dual SMG?
    • FG42 - Dual Spiker?
    • Trench gun - Shotgun
    • Double Barrelled Shotgun - Mauler?
    • Colt - Magnum
    • Magnum .357 - Brute shot?
    • Zombie Melee - Energy sword
    • Human Knife Melee - Normal weapon melee
    • ...Can't think of any more
    Waves - Custom powerups [and possible eventually overshields?] This allows you to set reasonable perks for the wave-ups, but unfotunately there can only be one [or maybe two] waves up this way. To prevent instant wave-ups - the custom power ups can spawn a while into the game, to even it up.



    New rooms / Areas - I advice switches that can be operated after a certain amount of time into the game (about same time as custom powerup is unleashed), or maybe you could allow places to just open after time if it was better and / or fairer. This is because there isn't exactly an in-game currency function (that would be awesome)


    Random weapon box - This i've no idea where to start on. This one's up to you lot to figure out ^^ :lol:




    I'm afraid these are all the key features i can think of within **** zombies right now, because i'm typing this at quarter past two in the morning and i have school tommorrow.

    "COD suck halo's Better" (I realise, i do prefer halo 3 btw)"
    "Why don't you make the map yourself you lazy <missing word(s)>"

    For the random weapon box I'd just make it a "ray gun" with 2 clips that doesn't respawn, that's one of the few things that actually matters in the game. Also, make machine guns by facing a turret to a wall. They have to rip it of to use it. And last make the zombies have like 200+% health, because that's what it's like in the game normally, but give them no shields so headshots kill like in **** zombies. Just throwing some ideas around.

    The Opening in-game doors are the door tele glitch and a reciever that is blocked until something explodes and unblocks the tele......

    Ohh yeah, i never thought of that!
    keep this going people, we're only throwing ideas around atm, but soon we'll have something amazing from them.
    + good call with the machine gun turret facing the wall btw.

    Yes but the Gametype A zombie would have to hit twice to kill......But how are we gonna make someone go Down like revive somone......?

    Reviving,.. ah..

    The only thing i can think of is to set humans to spawn on team-mates' kills.. but then it might defeat the point of having lives.

    Another thing, obviously we want more than 1 zombie, but it looks like 50% the fairest we're gonna get as an infected section of players..

    you have to play with 16 people to work.......and 8 people start with slow attributes and then like you said they spawn custom,and maybe even overshields..how about you just become infected....Scratch that maybe we could make only 4 people start out as humans so it makes it more realistic......

    These are some pretty good ideas. I haven't came up with any good ideas yet but I will try to collaborate with someone to get this map going. I would Forge it myself but I'm not the best at Forging compared to some other people. So, I can help anyway possible in Forging and giving ideas for the map.

    4:(8+) ratio would work pretty well, but yeah, like you said, it would have to be for big games, and it wouldn't really work on local games either.. :/

    I thought Chow was spelt Ciow but w/e I was think about sum ideas how about instead of using stairs for the stairs upstairs and downstairs we use walls interlocked into each other like an inclined plane....

    first of all, it's ciao. second, he means that rather than

    but on a smoother incline so you can walk up them.
    i had to put periods so my illustration worked


    the mystery box would be a small room with man cannons constantly shooting weapons around, and a barrier on each side so you cant go anywhere. then you would just hold rb and hope you get something good. also there should be a roof, and the only way to get to it is through a chimney on the balcony, and you have to nade jump up until a merged man cannon shoots you up onto the roof. the zombies would have a 1 way tele that puts them on a staircase that leads up to the roof, and if you fall it's instant death because of a bunch of man cannons and grav lifts shooting dumpsters and stuff around. then you would get smashed by it, and if humans tried to get to the teleporter exit and get out of the mpa, the would die from fusion coils being shot between sideways grav lifts. plus then the humans have no escape.

    the basement should have a dumpster door in it leading up to the balcony, and the only way to open it is to get a rocket/fuel rod from the mystery box room thing i suggested and shoot into a small gap above the dumpster. then the fusion coils behind it would explode, and allow a grav lift to spawn on the side that would shoot up the dumpster and reveal a path to the balcony. the zombies would have a way to the balcony open at the same time as the basement door opens, about 150 seconds into the game. but the door to the balcony should be by the zombies so the humans are forced to go through the basement.

    idk but the ray gun could be a fuel rod in my opinion. ok **** i didnt see it, well, SMG... thompson i guess, I dont know all the weapons Ive played it once. ok I saw that to, ummmm... IDK ill think up somthing.

    If you remember any, try and get 'em;
    we need as many as we can get before the map commences.
    Btw, i'm willing to help make the map with people,
    Just haven't got the patience to start it myself.

    Edit: I went on foundry designer out of solid boredom, and created a 1st floor outline of some of the immovable objects of the house, s'nothing spectacular, but it's a hint for people who haven't played **** zombies towards what the map looks like. (sorry it's crap, and the windows are shown weirdly lol)
