I thought it was going to be called Call of Duty 5, but oh well the game makes the game not the name.
I never understood why people haven't realised that World at War is 5. It's almost as if they are saying that WaW is just a mod or an expansion to 4. I guess they're right in certain respects but still. And thanks for reminding me that certain people need to apoligise to me about the number thing...
Did you ever once see any official gaming site refer to COD: WaW as COD5? Ever? At all? Didn't think so.
No, but I did see an interview with one of the devs say that they were getting rid of the numbering scheme and that calling it CoD 5 was correct.
Indeed, so it's official. Call of Duty: World at War's name is Call of Duty: World at War. Good to know.
You seem to be misundertstanding me. Call of Duty:World at War is Call of Duty 5. End of. It's not called CoD5 because of them getting rid of the numbering system. But it is still technically CoD5. That also makes Modern Warfare 2 Call of Duty 6-2 or Call of Duty 4.5 or Call of Duty 4's direct sequel.
actually, if you kept the numbering scheme world at war would be about cod7 or cod8. On topic: I hope they fix some of the things they had wrong. 1. When someone was looking at you, sometimes on your screen they would be looking slightly away. 2. When you shoot half a clip into your opponant and he kills you and you see the kill cam and it says you shot once. 3. System link. 4. Guest system. 5. How far grenades can be thrown. 6. and other things. Should be a great game though.
