The topic is easy, do you think we should give our hard-earned tax money to companies that could not float on their own? I'm against it...I mean I would like to see the companies stick around, but the government with all that money could have re instituted all the mental hospitals in America for 10 years! Discuss Note: I am speaking of the bailout happening in the U.S.
Over here in England, you can get a government grant to start up a business and that's all you get from our government. But because Britain is about to fall into a recession that could happen over here. I don't think its right to give money to companies, its basically saying because you have a business you deserve more money than anyone else. The companies need to grow some backbones.
That's an ignorant statement. If the companies fail, then people lose their jobs. Without people earning money and spending it then the economy worsens. Right now our government is trying to insert enough money into big business so that they stay afloat. I do think, however, that it will only hapen again and without a change in leadership of big businesses that this may just become a vicious cycle. I'm in agreement that the mortgage industry should be bailed out, but I do not think that the U.S. automotive industry should.
Why go for a job for a company which has no financial backbone, Everyone company should have its own bail out plans which don't involve government money. People should check up company records and information about companies instead of just saying "oh its a job, im k."
lol k. I was explaining on why go somewhere which is probably going to breakdown a few months later, so be quiet kthx.
So you know what businesses will fail even before they do, brilliant just brilliant. I do like your style though. Totally avoid giving any sort of method to fix the economy, but instead remind everyone of the current situation with a big "I told you so!"
Well hell were in a recession, right? It was announce today I'm pretty sure. I heard this from somewhere, and made me wonder remember this is someones opinion. Say we do Bail-put the Automakers, they will just put themselves back in the position they are now. They will have to pay off their huge amount of debts, long overdue paychecks, etc. which will put them in the same predicament they're in now. I see it as this. Bailout crucial resources, and business's that people strive on. Then with any money left over give it to the Auto-makers, or whoever needs it. I don't think we should bail-out a car over someones pension.
No, your putting words into my mouth. I said research on the job of where your working and how good that company is doing. Whats the point of having a job if you know its not going to last long. People need money, not unemployment. Who would want to start up a business when recession is here anyway? How would get a safe job not fix the economy. If you get a safe job in the long term you would have more money, more people would get more business and people should be able to afford things again.
Because they are not many, if any safe jobs. Take an econimics class then come back. While your intentions are pure, it's not that simple.
To a certain degree, it is necessary. Sadly, that is. As was mentioned, keeping our economy from lulling to a stop is what we need to prevent. In order to do that, things like this have to happen. Now, in my incredibly finite knowledge, I would say that I disagree with how much bailing out America is doing. It's unfair to the average Joe for a number of reasons. I view this just as I view voting for the Presidential election. Neither of the candidates will ever be perfect. As a matter of fact, they're always guaranteed to be some form of crooked. Bob may do a lot of things I don't like, but I'll vote for him because he's better than Joe. Thus lies my opinion of the bailout. It sucks, but the big picture would be worse without it. All Sow I'd like to counter that "getting a safe job" isn't easy. I'm very lucky. I was born into a second-generation roofing company that my father owns. Conveniently, no one wants to get rained on. So, I'm currently not doing as well with my hours as usual, but we are doing much better than a lot of folks who are having to shut down their company or are being laid off. Safe jobs are scarce, but anyone with common sense and a desire to eat can stay afoot.
Well, we don't bail out small companies ya know. But hey, what do I know? Here in Texas we're not even experiencing a recession.
I actually live in Detroit, and trust me, we need that bailout. If they don't get the bailout, our unemployment rate will go maybe as high as 25%. Thats 1 in 4 people that are jobless. The bailout is crucial to America's recovery from the recession. If people dont have jobs and aren't paid, all other businesses will lose business and will file for bankruptcy, then more unemployment, and that'll keep happening.
