Air Hockey v3 created by DieHardAssassin I have had this map created and done for quite awhile. Version 2 had an "explosive goalie" and some problems with being able to score before actually scoring.. This has been fixed. Everyone starts out with a Brute Shot and a Rocket Launcher, try to keep a constant volley of fire on the soccer ball. After one minute, a second soccer ball will spawn to spice things up. If you find you cannot shoot the ball, there is a way at the back of your "box". All of the walls also bounce the ball off of them, if the ball hits it. When you score, just jump up into the teleporter at the back of your box, and you will automatically score. Pictures: The Start Moving the Ball Here it comes... When you can't shoot the ball.. i like the new one it seems cool. oh but one thing i think you should put power ups in the center of the blocks that stick out more.
Looks good, same as last time I presume, just changed some stuff (Am I right??, lol) I like the new bouncy walls, musta taken a long time to keep those shield doors from showing but also to stick out just enough. I like the new simplified scoring system, so overall good changes to your previous versions. I will update this version to my hard drive. Sorry, but I can't think of any criticism that I could offer you. Good Job! All that I have is praise. The holes in the floors of the bases should help a lot, as players will actually be able to see that they are there. The ascetics as they have been, are beautiful, clean, and simple. Don't make them overcomplicated; it would only detract from your map. Edit: I always take too long to make my post great to get first post.
wow. this map is better than the other ones. just one questions, 1. How do you score?(Sorry I R N00B!) I would put fusion coils to spawn in the air and/or the ground to make the game more hectic. Instant spawn, of course. LOL! If you do that and have more shield doors, put them on the top where if the ball bounces too high, it would stop it. That could be Verion 3.1
The ball unblocks the teleporter, and fusion coils would be way too much, also, there isn't enough shield doors for that.

yea thats right, you take the territory. There really are no powerups, someone just suggested changing the flares to custom powerups so that you can see them better. Its just to make the map look nicer. Nope, it's small enough that you can't fall down.
so if you take a territory does the round restart, if it doesnt how does the person get back into the station to shoot the next ball. Also with the two balls 1 team could score with 1 and the ther scores at a similar time how would you work out who gets the territory. nice map btw it looks cool i'll dl it when i delete some other maps.
Has anyone else noticed that the ball launch doesn't actually put the ball in the direct center of the map? If you look at the two pictures above, pay attention to the diamond style single boxes on the side of the walls. clearly one side is a different distant from the center single box yet the ball launcher is lined up with that single box. Even though the game switches sides each game, it would be nice to have an even chance every round. It has basically been this way in all of your previous version, I don't know if you didn't notice or just hoped others wouldn't.
No, I know this, and I honestly don't think it effects gameplay. If you really want to see the amount of advantage this gives one team over the other, then look, it is very very little. Also, right in the beginning, with everyone shooting at a single spot, it is just as likely for the ball to go one direction as the other. But, it is an easy fix, if it is necessary.
Nice look very similar to real air hockey (i have my own). Great interlocking and did you Geo-merge the shield doors or interlock them because thats hard for me. Make v4. COMMENCING DL NOW4/5
This is similar to cakeball(still unreleased)... But cakeball is assault, and the teleporter system works different.
Just played this for the first time. And then again and again. Really good job. I'd have to say this is one of the best soccer ball games I've seen, actually. How many players did you have in mind? (we played 2v2 and 3v3, both awesome) There's aren't many suggestions to make for this map, as it's already at a near-perfect level. The arena is forged very well, both functionally and aesthetically, and the scoring system seems robust. The only advice I have is to make the floor of the player boxes see-through (in the center at least), so you can see to play goalie, but that's really just a nice-to-have, not a must-have. Also, I'd agree that while it didn't seem to affect gameplay, it would be nice if the ball launched in the exact center. The biggest thing about this map is that it's REALLY FUN TO PLAY.
No, there really isn't any reason to geomerge the shield doors, because then they would be lower, and you can't see them as you play. edit: I can fix up the soccer ball spawn
again ill keep this simple, i played this...........and i loved it! i didnt see the bit where you shoot near your goal but still an awesome map well done buddy!
