MLG Aus

    Hello again

    This is my second map - MLG Aus

    I wanted to make a bigger map then MLG Rapid and this is what i came up with. I haven't play tested it yet except for a 3 player FFA, which i didnt make it for. This map also uses standard TS settings and a custom CTF setting.

    Weapons:
    4 Br's
    1 Carbines
    2 Plasma grenades
    4 Frags
    1 Rocket
    1 Sniper Rifle

    First of all, why has noone posted on this thread for 2 days?? Give the guy some feedback

    Anyway, your first pic shows probably the best part of your map, sorry bought that but yes i think its true. I can see that you interlocked where needed, but no geomerging, which here on FH is getting every day more needed (Could'nt think of the right word). The map looks a little open and 1 ended with only a few ways to get up and out of the x-axis (is it y, o who cares) such as dumpsters and stuff. Some of the structures look good, but some of them just look silly, such as the floating upsidedown single boxes, like wtf are those.

    Alright so from my point of view, I think this map is okay, but probably could of had a little (or alot) more effort put into it.

    those are to simulate the same as the boxes covering the crane so it can be symmetrical, duh...

    ...but, very interesting middle and i love the bases but i dont know how the teleprters will work on an mlg map .
    i think it'll make a unique play style, it could be good or bad i dunno...

    thanks for clearing that up for him, i thought he was sarcastic.

    It does play weird and concentrates below the rockets a little to much, as for the teleporters i think they work well and you dont have to use them to get to the snipe/flags.

    The signs are keys, you can jump from the snipe ramp onto the open dbox then across the signs to get to the snipe/flag. Like wise you can get to the rockets also the exact same way. You can also jump from the rockets straight to the teleporter by jumping on the double wall

    People have said that this map doesn't look "professionally" forged and i respect that... In some places your map does look down right ugly but that doesn't mean it isn't a good map. I'd imagine that this map plays very very well so I'm trying to download but this computer at my local library is crap but i will download as i get to my dad's house. 6/10

    One side looks more over crowded than the other side which may be a bit of a problem for cover. But the map does look interesting, I hope to download this. 3.5/5

    it kinda looks like it was thrown together in a few minutes and i dont say that to be mean that just the appearance of the map imo

    thanks for your feedback guys, i am thinking of adding some cover to the snipe courtyard, or adding something to the teleporter side of the map to space it out a bit more.

    I dont want to add something to the courtyard because it would give to much cover to the flag carrier IMO.

    add power-ups as base markers. adds color and makes it look better. i would also recommend making the high points of the map bigger.

    I've never liked teleporters in MLG maps.
    Which is exactly why I hope the v6 doesn't have Isolation.

    Are they even considering putting in that map? **** hope not.

    Anyway maybe you should try the map before you go and say you don't like it, you looked at a couple of pictures ffs.

    PS. is this guy/gal going into everyone's thread's and posting useless things like this? or is it just my 2 threads?

    This looks pretty good. There aren't many aesthetics in it, but in the end, the gameplay is what matters the most. This has some decent interlocks. I don't see any geomerging though. I liked how you used the sign As and Bs for aesthetics and cover. That addds a nice touch to it. Wait, does the rocket greatly affect gameplay or is it a minor weapon?
    Good job and keep forging because your clearly good at it.

    - i honestly dont know what this means, let me know please

    I geomerged the 2 box's that you spawn on (tried to atleast)

    The rockets arnt to overpowered on this map because its so open, and the battles usually come at the medium distance. Rarely will you run around a corner straight into a person (Guardian).
