Geomerging a box into the corners of Foundry?

As seen here, I want to make a base in each corner of Foundry. To do that, I would need to geomerge a box into each corner. Yet, I don't think I can do it with doors and when I did it with the other method (of putting a double box at the desired distance, spawning the other and grabbing it, etc) that didn't work very well.

    So, what's the best method?

This worked for me a few times, but I rarely ever use it.

First, spawn two corner walls. Outline where you want the box to be with them. Set them so they are in the L shape with the bottom of the L on the ground. Set them to not spawn at start. Try to mark where they were with smaller objects. Start new round.

Spawn the double box. Place it as closely "in" where the outline was (that is where the small object markers come in handy). Put a double wall ontop of the box so it does not fly up while being merged.

When the corner walls respawn, pick up the double box. If most of the box is on the other side of the corner walls, it will line up perfectly with them and go through the foundry wall instead. It takes a few tries but it is the only method I found that works.

Can't, left my xbox at my friends house for the day.

Can you just show me a screenshot of how the corner walls are laid out? That's the only part I can't picture.

Okay, I really don't want to go downstairs and turn on my xbox, go into forge and do it right this second. My halo 3 disk is a ***** and only works 1/3 of the time. However, I will draw the picture while I eat lunch.

First put down corner walls, outlining where you want the box to be as shown here. This method works no matter what position the box will be in as long as not too much of the box is in the foundry walls.

For perspective, here's a drawing of how the corner walls should be set up. The box isn't there yet, remember that. You are just outlining it.

After you have the box outlined set the corner walls to not spawn at start but put some markers where they were so you have some kind of reference. I use weapon holders.

Now after starting the new round place the box as closely into where you want it to be. Use the weapon holders for reference. Put something big that covers most if not all of the top of the box ontop of the box to stop it from moving up too much. I'm not going to put anything ontop of the box in the picture so you can see.

Then let the corner walls spawn. It will look like this. In my example, only one wall is doing the pushing. I'm just going straight into foundry's wall, not side to side so only one wall is inside the box, however if you are going in and over, you will have two or more that will spawn in the box just as you would have two doors if you were pushing an object in and over.

Now pick up the box. If done correctly, the box will start to go back into foundry's wall. It does not work every time, so keep trying but it is in my opinion the best way to do it.

Sounds like an interesting idea, I'll try it out.

    Any others?

the easiest thing to do is use the doors to push the box in the wall and use more doors to hold the box in place. this puts equal pressure on all sides of the box when its being merged. Also when you merge, grab the box and while still holding on to it, click start and save the map using the "save changes" button not the "save as a new map". This is a glitch in the game and if you start to save the map in under two seconds, the merge will be perfect unless your holding objects are poorly placed.

Heres a youtube video of this if you have any problemsYouTube - Bl00D F1R3's Forge School 1 - Merging
