Alright. Two questions about the AV cables for the 360 and for those with an S-video cable AND an HDMI cable.

First, can you have both of them connected into your 360 at the same time?

Second (pretty sure I know but want to make sure), will it transmit a signal through both.

I'm thinking of it for capturing. I've had it in mind for a while but haven't been able to try it.

You can have them both connected, but I don't think they'll both work at the same time. I tried doing that with the regular AV cables and the HD ones, and I only got audio, and it was bad quality at that. As for HDMI, I'm not positive, but it would be worth a shot. Let me know if it works; I may want to do it, too.

You could just split your A/V feed or use the output on your tv to record.

Well, I'm gonna be using S-video with my capture card (better quality) and haven't ever seen an S-Video splitter and my TV doesn't have an S-Video output.

It it was to all work the way I hope, I'll have my HDMI cable and S-Video cable connected to my Xbox, the HDMI connected to my TV, the S-Video and audio into my capture card and the yellow composite from the S-Video cable into my TV so I can see what's going on in real time.

Well, for those of you who would like to know, the S-video and HDMI cable do fit in the system at the same time. Unfortunatly, it won't broadcast a signal to either cord.
