What is the most tragic death in a game, you know, that part where a character dies and it makes you go silent. To me, it would have to be the end of Half Life Episode 2 where Eli Vance dies. I could not actually watch it and I screamed "NOOOOOO" then almost weeped. I also give credit to the Maria cutscene in Gears of War 2. So, so sad.
Maria died the same way Tai did. The Locust messed with their heads and they started tu turn into Locust(i think...). Then Tai killed himself, and Dom killed Maria.
Dom euthanized her because she was tortured by the Locust. And they were not turning them into Locust. That is highly impossible because the Locust are a different race.
She died by Dom. She was too badly hurt to even live. The scene was good as it you see what Dom WANTED to see. Not what was actually there. When they found Maria, she was already badly injured. The most shocking death was Tai. His death was mostly to show how the Locust were brutal and how much they could change someone in such a short time.
I think that in Metal Gear Solid when you don't win the torture rounds with Ocelot and Meryl dies in the end. That cutscene made me sad... Other than that one, I can't think of anything that was as tragic as that...
I'm thinking about Darth Vaders apprentice in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, after all you do to try and make the rebellion, the emperor kills you in the Good side Ending, in the Dark side Ending, you get crushed by your own ship and turn into a half robot half human thing, which made me sad after all the stuff you do in the game. Star Wars: TFU: Good Side Ending Star Wars: TFU: Dark Side Ending In Dead Space (This is not 100% certain) you get attacked by your girlfriend who is dead for the whole game, your in the ship, after taking off your helmet, you see Isaac's face, he looks at the computers around him and see's the video again of his girlfriend commiting suicide. hE turns all the computers off, the room get's a little bit dark, then lighs up again, he looks to the right and she is there but she jumps up and screams, the credits then come afterwards. But you unlock a lot of things in the game for ding it though. Dead Space Ending

Both of the Carmine brothers. Benjamin died though.... a terrible painful death. While Anthony was just sniped in the head so he didnt feel any pain. But was embarassing hehehe
No, he didn't. I want to know why she changed so suddenly. Were they sucking her life force from her? Some effect of the Imulsion? Not why she died, why she changed.
Guilty Spark..... He just had roid rage, why does the chief have to get all up in his grill? But yeah, everyone who died in Gears is way up there on my list. Pretty epic sadface for me.
