Finally, today I received Gears in the mail. Played about 4 hours from the minute I opened it. Then, some co-op. I don't know on what Act exactly I am, but I'm at the part that I just got of the car, and we drove a long time... So yeah, so far it pwns. I got to play some horde, and 1 matchmaking game too. Had some diffiiculty taking the pics... And I have a question about those too, can I take pictures of myself, like after the game in some sort of theater mode? Like, go back and play the game over and see myself alive?
No, you cannot take a pic of yourself, unless you are taking a pick of your dead body... Well, me and Smeagleton tried level 50 of Horde on Insane... Let's just say that we lived for 10 seconds, and that brief duration of life we had consisted of mashing the 'X' button to pick eachother up.... Let me elaborate. 1 Hammerburst shot and you are down. 1 shot to your head and you're eligible to play the next headless horseman...
when we tried it, a mauler came almost instantly, and with one swipe took 4 out of 5 of us down, and with another single swipe eliminated our existance. the only reason the 5th person lived through it was because he decided to run for some grenades at the very beginning of the match. total match time : 13 seconds.
Lol, I don't think it is even feasibly plausible... If someone does to it, they should get reconz. Oh wait.. wrong game, and their giving that **** out for free now =[
FAIL. Me and my friend tried that too, and lasted over 3 minutes in the corner on Security. We were doing well, gettin kills when a mauler walked into our base... we kept firing, he wouldnt die. Continuing our assault, he slammed us and we both fell. Miracuously, we dodged the mauler and ran to another corner. He turned to follow. Suddenly, a torcher, bloodmount, butcher, and a boomer ran in as well. It then became that same, MASH TEH X BUTTON to live. We killed one or 2 of them and then the bloodmount slashed me. I fell, and as my friend picked me up, he was blown back by the mauler, who smushed me to pieces. My friend got up and finished off the final guys. Except for the mauler. still. So my friend tried to run but was knocked down, and made a final heroic crawl to the laser fence. He thought he could lure it to into the lasers. But he forgot to watch out for them, crawled into the lasers and we lost, 2:36 seconds in. XD
Psh, that's Security. We were doing it on River. There as no safety on that map. The house was our best bet... didn't work so well.
Oh,Come on guys....I was doing insane on 50 of horde alone and i managed to kill a temple guard on a bloodmount before the wretch had killed me. You guys try doing that alone. And this was on an unheard of map. I think it was based on the act with the cover thats pops up. I mean seriously...You guys are just terrible.... BTW how do the locust breed? And where did the kryll go? And the berserkers are where now? Have these questions been answered?
-_- May I ask how the hell you did it? I planted to frags on a wall, both of which blew up in the blood mounts face, and I shout the rider in the face with my hammerburst as he rushed at me, and still never went down. And wtf is this "unheard of map?" That makes no sense.
Well it was half skill and half luck.I had gotten a boomshield and the scorcher .You see it was when the blood mount had gotten pist and beat the **** out of his helmet. I had shot it with my pistol because i was carrying a boomshield. Then i ran up to it dropped the boomshield and burned it with my flamethrower...but it hadnt died so i had to get back to my boom shield and get the **** out of there. When i was far enough away i planted my boom shield and shot it with my lancer. Then i reload and i see a whole bunch of wretches, a bunch of boomers(mostly butchers),and a scorcher on there way to kill me. So i start blindfiring at the bloodmount and then it got more pist off that it did something kinda like when you ride bulls. Like you get shook up and down. Thats what had happened to the temple guard. So it died. Then the wretch ****ing runs up to me and like shits on me. I know it seems long but it was only about a little over a minute. So uh...what about you guys.
I've been playing with some friends lately. We've been playing for a few hours and we managed to get to wave 13 on Insane. Honestly, I'm a horrible player (except for getting 9 kills with one mortar shot). Soon we're going to have 4 people playing (including myself) and my friends are much better than myself. We could actually get 5 people since they just bought another copy of GoW2. Anyways, 5 players would be some great fun in Horde. I believe the things that kill me the most are the boomers and torque bowers.
Exactly Horde I guess isn't for everyone, but I enjoy it, especially with friends. Alone it isn't so great, but with a full party it is a blast.
Has anyone noticed something wierd about two online achievements? I think they got two of them switched around. It's Good To Be King - Win 10 rounds of guardian as the leader You Go Ahead, I'll Be Fine - Win Three Matches of King of The Hill Sounds like the names got mixed up, lol.
