Well here is my latest project, De-Railed. This asymmetrical courtyard is split into 4 quadrants by a rusted up train. Each quadrant has a base and depending on which corner your at you'll have access to either sniper or turret. Control of the train is necessary to win. Whether it's camping inside of it with a mauler or nabbing the camo and BR, or even grabbing the Splaser located on top, the Train is very valuable. So lets get on with some pictures!

Ok, this is the back sniper quadrant. Sniper is on top of the tower. Oh noez there's a warthog! How could a game of Foundry work with the Warthog? Well it actually does.

Here's a slightly more developed turret quadrant. More cover and Oh noez, another hog. Closest base to train.

Here's the second sniper quadrant. Has 2 ramps that lead to it, minimal cover.

And last but not least the last turret quadrant. Equally developed as the other turret quadrant. Good range.

Side-view of train. Front room contains Camo and a BR. Mauler in back room. Splaser uptop.

Lift to Train. Depending on how you enter the lift you could be flinged to the back of the train, at the chimney, or even get shot into the back room of the train.

So that's my map. It's good for Multiflag, FFA, and TS. I'm open to suggestion on how to make my map better. Unfortunately this map is not good for BR starts seeing as some parts of the map are too easily visible. Inspiration for the train comes from the map End of the Line.

not bad. gotta give u props for making the train pretty accurately. but unfortunatly theres a really good train based map called end of the line (pretty sure the names right). nice use of warthogs tho.
uh... 3.5/5 id give it a 4 or 5 but the end of the line map is crazy awesome so ur map is pretty much getting compared to it :\

This map seems very open. I like the train but by far not the best out there. I would say that you should look up how to geo-merge in the forging 101 section. It helps to make you better at forging and make cleaner maps! The post is good, though next time make a longer description of your gametypes that can be used in your map! Now I like the description of your actual map, that is good!

I'd kinda like my map to be judged by itself and not compared to similiar maps.

Looks pretty good. I made a train themed map a while back called The Trainyard.

Hey, ROFL! Doesn't look like a bad map you got there =D

Well, first off, the train idea is pretty cool. I don't give a crap about End of the Line, I'm not judging comparatively. Anyway, I like how the train sticks down the middle of the field, and how you tried to make it into the focal point of your map (both aesthetically and on the battlefield). I also like that there is a base in each corner of the map, meaning that no one team is gonna camp in "the good spot" and just lay the smack down. And personally, splasers are HILARIOUS!

Now, unfortunately, your map looks a bit open. I know that majoritively, this is to allow the Warthogs room to maneuver and fight. However, the end result is an empty Foundry with a train and four bases. there is virtually nothing in between. I would recommend removing one or two of the bases, or maybe shrinking one, and doing some landscaping on your Foundry here. Spice it up a bit, but don't stuff it with too much crap for the Hogs to handle.

Also, the train honestly doesn't seem like a big focal point in battle. Basically, you dart in there, grab a camo AND mauler, and run around and be OP for 30 seconds. I would recommend moving one of these two objects, as they make a powerful (I believe too powerful) combination. In addition, the two sniper towers seem like a better place to make a stand than the train. Although you made an admirable effort to limit cover in these towers, the fact of life is: this map is flat. All you need is a corner and you can WTFPWN with a sniper. All thoe little noobers hiding in the train would just add up to a sharpshooter.

I know my list of complaints makes it sound like I think this is a poor map, and this is not the case. In fact, I think your map is pretty well-forged, and I definately like it. However, with a bit more work, I think it could be effin AWESOME. You should make a V2!

As is, 4/5. Good job =)

Yeah, having a mauler and a camo together isn't a good idea. But apart from a couple of kinks, such as those, this map looks pretty cool. 3.5/5. The layout looks too straightforward however, the bases look straight across from each other. Is there much cover between the two? Anyway, good map. Keep Forging!
