First off. I want to start by saying that I do not appose MLG. Its fun to play and can get "awesome-ly" competitive. Theres one thing that spoils the MLG playlist though, its killing it. People who are over-obsessed with halo 3 to a point where its not good for there health. You get these type of people everywhere in MLG, Highly hypocritical and ignorant, usually stereotypically when it comes to people that aren't like them. I love playing MLG, but MLG wanna-bes and over obsessed halo 3 players who think there better than everything else are steering me away from a fun gametype which I don't want to stop playing. Carry on like this and you've killed the MLG playlist. D:
From my knowledge, in other playlists is just immature kids that you can mute, but these MLG players just carry it on over messages and second accounts.
Once you get higher up, you don't play with all the immature people anymore. It's mostly all people that have been to some events and pros, so you end up playing with people who are more mature and don't really feel like they have to talk **** to prove they're better than you.
Why do people insist on saying "OH HAI GUISE IM MLG, OMG U ALL SUKZ EVEN THOUGH I TOOK ALL OF UR KILLS LMAO, IVE WON 0VER 9000 MLG GAEMS OMG!!!!111111111111111" at an eariler level though? Sounds like being high in MLG is awesome but im too crap to get the level 40 >.<
yeah once you hit 40 or even 35+ the MLG playlist gets better because you ended up getting more mature and skilled players. Like no one cares about "kill-stealing" because everyone knows that it is a team game and that you really just saved their life. But seriously, because MLG is at a high level of competitiveness, if you are just terrible you are gonna get yelled at because it is really frustrating getting BK's constantly that go negative regularly. Sorry if that sounded bad but honestly, if you are bad, dont go into the MLG playlist and play something a little less competitive like TS or Dubs

Blanked is pretty much right. All of the true MLG players are high rank and the games get less annoying. Why don't you like it? Out of curiosity. I don't mind regular slayer if the starting weapon is changed. I can't stand the AR.
Ya MLG in my opinion is one of the best playlists in Halo 3. I have encountered a lot of ppl like that too. They say like: "OMG U SUK" or "Ur trash".
I get what you mean. They very over-competitive. I also notice they love to yell out locations. "1 SHO TOP MID!!!!!" and the whole game is like this. It' fine every once in a while, but they think we are in a championship tournament.
Haha i can't begin to tell you how many times someones shouted alpha gold 1 in a game! We lose because i have no fukin clue what theyre saying!!!! hah "get to alpha blue 4 now!!!! OMG you suck!!!!! kid quit!!!!!!!" but i have no FUKING CLUE WHAT THEY ARRE SAYING!!!!!!!!! i ask them where again, and they just call me trash... lol uptight MLG Mutha Truckers :]
This annoys you? It's the same with every other playlist, some people play it to stupid lenghts. Atleast they don't cheat/mod, well some do. And Novak is right.
That's pretty much the point of MLG, to treat it like its more serious than it really is. If you want to be as best as you possibly can, you need to call out and you need to do it efficiently. If you think about it, you're team is gonna do better if your team knows where everyone is, espeically with no radar, than if you're walking around a corner into a guy with rockets because no one told you he was there.
LOL over-competitive? it's MLG! MLG = Major League Gaming, if you haven't noticed that yet. If a football player got angry at his team because they were playing bad would you say they are over-competitive. like novak said, calling out/communication is probably the most important factor in MLG and in almost every team playlist or gametype people will call out at higher levels. Also, if you don't like it mute it. But seriously, if you can't handle the competitiveness, then don't jump in the playlist. Simple as that
Only bad thing about MLG is people calling you 'BKs' because you don't have perfect green bars like them because you're from a different country. I'm sorry, but if you don't want a multinational game, go play custom.
Actually this is more than half the point that I'm trying to cross. They get angry at you for being, from England, the UK, anywhere in the world, bad connection, good connection, in game glitches which isn't a persons fault, having a bad game, under competitive, over competitive, getting a double kill, not getting a double kill, "kill stealing", not helping your team out (after they moaned at you for stealing there kills) and many more.
I'm only a level 9 LOL, and most of the MLG matches I've played hardly any of the people I've played with don't even have mics.
MLG is meant to be competitive, so dont complain when people take is seriously. that's what you're supposed to do. its making a sport out of video games. its the only reason i still play halo, and make maps.
