    The map should be played with 8 to 16 players and it is setup for all the basic game types

    This is the Third version that I have done for this map. It is a remake of Relic from Halo2 that I did on Avalanche. The differences between this and the second version range from minor to huge.
    The Main base - I Flipped all the bridges making it smother, Geomerged the bottom making it look nicer, put in a crude teleporter switch, managed to make the front tower one color(blue), Changed the spawn on the front ramps for symmetrical game types, and also made the center columns wider to be more functional.

    The covy tower - I add another recever so it can't be blocked

    The barrier wall is larger and is in a slightly different spot and with the help of my map breaker ( lone nazgul ) is now impossible to get over.

    The pelican drop site - The containers blocking the man cannons have been adjusted so you won't get stuck in them, the "rock formation" has been changed and geomerged along with the teleporter access area.
    Weapons and vehicle spawns have been changed accordingly, and some additional weapons have been added.

    Like in version 2 I had to take some liberty with the weapons because Avalanche doesn't have plasma rifles. I placed rockets and missle pods with limited ammo because Halo 3 rockets don't have tracking

    are the super jump still there

    but this is really good for a remake on a non foundry level. The only thing is dont you think you could make it bigger

    i guess ill replace your old relic with this one... i still think this is the best remake

    wow i love this. relic was my favorite map before halo 3 and im sure this is gonna bring back memories. one of the best remakes ive seen. 5/5 and a download.

    Sage in order to make everything bigger I'm Going to have to wait for sandbox cause although it isn't as small as foundry it is still only half of a large map making it narrow but i get what your sayin now and truly wish I could accomudate


    Red eye I had a grav lift under the covy tower pushing you up to the tele but it caused the warthog and the ghost to get stuck alot during game play so I opted to take it out and set it up so you just jump up to hit the tele

    im mean make everything bigger so instead of everything 2-1 scale make it 1-1 scale

    You spent so much time on this map its amazing I agree with dred rogue I think this is the best remake I havent played on it but I will. I remember when you were working on it I saa how much smoother everything was although you should've reccomended it to me. But great remake great map great forging.

    great map, i did a forge through, and it looks nice. you did budget glitch, so its hard to make changes now... but there are a few things that need work


    to make the man cannon thing neater, you could overload the map so that they don't work and then merge the containers right into the mancannon for a smooth finish.

    keep the wall un-breakable, but make it a bit cleaner and consistent for visual effect.

    look in the forge tutorial section for how to make all of the boxes the same color. it makes a map look really professional.


    its good, but in all honesty, I would really love to see this done by one of the premium map makers, a relic remake on avalanche has a ton of potential.

    mac I tried geo merging the containers with the man cannons and what happend is that the man cannons end up still working to a point so that wasn't an option unless i divoted more materials to tht area which I really coundn't afford to. I actually already seen the tutorial but thanx for the suggestion. I have only had small success changing the colors of the containers and I still have a version that alows me to change things to a point. So I will be tweaking certain things here and there and experimenting to give a smoother finish to the man cannons as long as it keeps them from working. And maybe some place down the road I will have a better version

    By the way your complement at the end :

    Anyways, the third version (this one) looks a ton better than the first one. I remember when you had posted it up on Bungie.net. I was like the only one to comment on it and download it. Really is amazing how you transformed that monument area in the center from a pile of boxes to now a similar structure as relic. Are you going to just keep working on it??? Until it actually becomes very close to relic?

    I have come to the point where i can only make small modifcations ie.. move this here move that there. so I will keep working on it trying to make it all it can be but I wouldn't expect any more large over hauls like from v2 to v3

    Thanks for the comments, I really did try to use every ones comments from the last version. The map isn't an exact replica because of space issues but it's only scaled down a very small bit and I beleive game play will be Extremely close to the same as the original Relic.

    I barely played Halo 2 before Halo 3 came out. And basing this purely on it being a map, and not a remake, I really love it. An excellent job on the wall. But what is the point of that mongoose lol? Taunting? Very nice map. 9/10

    In truth the mongoose on the other side was teaser for my map breaker that I never took out. If you wanted to you coul easily delete it and add a weapon some place, But I think it just adds a little bit more character. Also when you play infection the ghost turns into a mongoose I'm not sure why or if it has anything to do with the fact there is a mongoose on the level but thats what happens.

    Great Job. I really liked this map. Having a hard time getting enough people to play it properly but you made this very accurate in this version compared to the original.

    Finding enough people to play is usually a problem with big team maps but I really enjoy big team so those tend to be the maps I make or remake and after the map I'm currently working on I'm going to do another big team map remake from halo 2. I'm not sure which one yet and I have been working on a Boarding action as well

    Wow. This is really nice. I just hope the size of the map doesn't have too much of an impact on gameplay. I'll have to see after I play it. (Oh, and I hope that Longshore of the Mythic map pack doesn't turn out to be a remake of relic.)

    Like in the original Relic the size has a huge impact on the game play. I stated in the post that you should play with 8 to 16. You would have to play atleast 10 for a good infction or regular slayer ,but for team games 8 is enough
