Ohai! Sharp here and I know that some of you have seen maps with a ramp coming out of the ground on Foundry. Some of you may wonder “How the hell did he do that?” Well im here to show you…
    [IMG]
Well actually it is quite easy to do this. I will be showing you step by step on how to do this. The description is above the pictures.
1.Take a “stair” and place it where the bottom stair is right above the place you want the slope to start
    [IMG]
2.Place another “stair” on the side of the other, completely even with the other Stair 1
    [IMG]
3.Place a “double box” on the exposed side of Stair 1.
4.Place a “wall” against “the double box” (to make the “wall” straight) and the move it down to the last step of Stair 1.
5.Take two “sender nodes” and place them on top and on the bottom of the “wall”, as shown below.
6.Then place a “receiver node” on the side of the “wall”, also as shown below.
7.Then place two “doors”, upside down, into the “wall” about the same distance from the middle of the “wall”.
8.Grab the “wall”. If you need to take more precautions, as soon as you grab the “wall”, wait two seconds, and then save the map.
9.There you have it! A wall that has been merged as a ramp into the floor of foundry. This can also be done with any immoveable object (walls work best though).
With a bit of ingenuity (and a little interlocking), you can make great ramps. One such example is shown below, in my new map (Coming Soon!).
    Simple, Eh?

this is great sharp!!! lol that is the ramp I helped you make!!! XD (Co forge FTW...)

btw, you know how I already used all the stairs in my map already??? How else can I make teh ramp w/o stairs??? o_O

I tried stacking walls, each going farther away so there is an angle, and leaning a wall on that, but it's not as good imo. Any ideas O great Sharp???

This is actually a great technique! I'll keep this in mind when I need to make a ramp.
A question from someone who's used this, does it work with any other objects (Bridges, other styles of wall)?

Main reason of posting here is to keep this thread logged =)

That could be really helpful for forging and your tutorial is really well done sharp. The angle is the same as the stairs so that is perfect. Can't wait to see your map either, could be some pretty cool stuff.

yea Im coforging it with him. Its prettty epic. almost done.

and btw sharp, I realized that I could use the 2 bridges in the back (blocking the generic bases) until Im done. for making my ramp. XD

Sharp, you are awsome! I was wondering how to do this, but I was too lazy to ask anyone. This is definately going into a new map once I think of an idea.

Why purple? Its so much harder to read on a black background!

But that is a useful tutorial, I've never managed to merge walls at an angle successfully, I'll be using this technique

This is probably my ocd, but that wall is not at a perfect angle, and could effect the upper portion's walking ability, once interlocked with another wall/box.

    Intriguing idea, though.
