Constrictor Created By: Creep1ng De4th Gametypes Supported: Multi-Flag, King of The Hill, FFA, Team Slayer, Assault, Territories Recommended Players: 6-12 There are few maps that can execute vehicle based combat in an urban setting on Foundry well. Gridlocked did so excellently but only a handful of maps have been close to recapturing the same exciting gameplay till now. Constrictor is a symmetrical map at heart, with it's two identical bases, but it's in the asymmetric battle fronts that the action really heats up. Since the map’s design is symmetrical the player is never lost and with varying areas of battle the gameplay doesn’t get stale. Constrictor's more prominent landmarks are Creep1ng De4th’s trademark equipment fountain and the intriguing use of shield doors to isolate the flag from contact. Overall the map is forged very well with some beautiful design elements but what keeps you coming back is the great gameplay that makes this map a cut above the competition. W00t First Post! Congratz on the feature Creeping Death! I remember you posting this and never got the chance to download it because of the stupid 100 limit. But I love the gameplay (can tell from pictures), interlocking, geomerging and everything else you did. Great job mate!
Let me be the first (er.. second) to say congrats Creep! Well-deserved feature, sir. Gameplay is phenomenal on this map, and you've still maintained a high level of aesthetics. This looks really hecktic, and yet really fun. i like how they used the shield doors and the fence walls. i think this was really well made but one thing i dont like about the map is the worthag. oh on thing i really like is the sheild door how it is just a little bit off the ground so you can throw nads though it.
congrats on the creep. i like the map and from the feature thread i cant see very much but after i post this ill check the original. it seems there is 2 sides with a center wall and it looks good for objective games, correct me if im wrong but this looks like an overdone layout. still congrats on the feature *edit* i took a look at the original thread and seen some more useful things there then here. 1) there are more pics but i guess you couldnt get all of em in the feature thread. 2) it was nice to see the changes from v1 3)the original had a very nice post but it had way to many words for me to read.
this shows that interlocking doesn't matter that much, but great gameplay is what makes a map featured. Congrats on this wonderful feature.
I knew that this map would get featured the first time I played it. The aesthetics are great. Having shield doors surrounding the flags is a great idea. This is one of the only competitive maps I have seen that incorporates vehicles so well into the smooth gameplay. SS156
when i played this map, i didn't think it was anything special. during the time of my play, i didn't have that much fun on this map. it didn't seem exceptional or anything. Also, having shield doors around the flag was just annoying because people camped in it. The map isn't bad or anything, it's just not super fun or anything. sorry, for this but i rather give my true opinion. of course, you're gonna get a lot of complements and they will completely overwhelm this single post. anyways, congrats on the feature.
This map actually looks like a map; let me explain. A lot of the great maps here are great because of aesthenics, but this is differant. I think this map is amazing in every aspect. This looks like in my opinion what defeault Foundry should be. Everything is geoerged and it runs fluently. It's awesome the way everything flows in this map. I can't emphisize enough how much I love this map. A well deserved feature.
Great map. I loved playing this with a lot of people. However, I think the spawns could be improved if I remember right. But overall, a great map and deserved the feature
holy ****, sound the sirens, lets throw a parade.. bloumbas actually scored a map higher than "Poor" This is truly a day to mark down in the FH history books. Creep, you should be proud you got the lowest featured map scorer of all time to actually enjoy a map for once.
congrats creep, well deserved feature. i got a look at this with vorpral and the map blew me away. The gameplay was incredible and the aesthetics were all but godly. my favorite part about this map is the sheild doors that surround the flag. It was such a relief that i wasn't being shot as i planted the flag(lol). overall,Great map, well deserved feature.
Let me start off by saying thanks for the feature Forgehub :0) I also wanna say thanks to everyone that has downloaded,played,enjoyed,and commented on this map so far. Now, onto some comments... Glad you like the shield door feature. It's not the first time it's been used, but I think it fits nicely in this map. As far as the Warthog, in my opinion it's one of the features that makes this map. Some people like them and some don't, it's ok....But they definitely don't hurt :0) Thanks man. Although I took the time to interlock and merge almost the entire map, design and gameplay was a primary focus. Glad you like it! To each his own :0) It could be said that spawns could be improved on nearly every map, and it probly holds true for this map. I set it so the spawns are very basic. There is plenty of neutral areas but the spawn areas for team games are at the bases. I found that this made it more difficult, along with the flag/bomb capsules, to just run in and smash and grab and score. I can now die peacefully :0)
Awesome map, very cool setup. I enjoyed my games on this, and i couldnt find much to improve on. Its very simple, yet oh so complex at the same time. I love that its ALMOST symmetrical but its just different enough on each side to give it a unique feel to it.
I DLed and played this with my friends. I was very impressed with the mix of vehicle and hand to hand combat. Everyone in the party was impressed! Congrats on the feature Creep!
Only 1000 views but its featured? This doesnt make any sence. Ive seen so many maps that destroy this thing it is unique but feature material I dont think so. What just because you are a moderator anything you make gets featured even though it gets no hits.Give me a break I saw a map above blackout just earlier today that makes what you did here look like childs play And Its not featured you suck.
^^^What an asshole.^^^ ahhh... I loved testing this map a couple of weeks ago. my only question, did you fix that one spot that you could get on top of the map with? either way, I had alot of fun with this map.
wow no surprise here i played on this last tgif and it was awesome the shield doors tripped me out at first i was like wtf nades goin through the shield doors but than i realized that they were floating. this map really deserved the feature 5/5
wow flame much and i believe we had this problem b4. this map is good and im sure that blackout map looks great too but this map gets 1 recognition from an established member and you also have to take into consideration the gameplay, weapon and spawn layouts. these allo create a good map. so dont come in here flame our mods and not know anything about the matter. good day kind sir!
