GameStop problem

maybe they got so packed up as you said, but I know sometimes this kind of stuff happens. because one of my friends a while back pre ordered a xbox 360 before it came out and got it 5 months later lol

 

what I find odd, but absolutely awesome---> I went into GameStop today and purchased FarCry2. I didn't preorder it as I've been broke for the past while. While on the ride home I marveled at the magnificence rested before my eyes and noticed, "wtf, dude they gave me the preorder version (6extra missions and apparently gold machete)" this doesn't suck or anything and my friend from school also had this occur... what up with that?

 

Gamestop usually never calls. I have done this for many games and have not been called once. All you have to do is call them, tell them your name, and go pick it up

 

I got my FC2 on Thursday but I only waited two days. You still havent gotten yours yet though. Yikes. Just be patient it wont be a long wait.

 

I've had issues with my local gamestop also. Try calling if that doesn't work sorry.

 

If you pre-ordered it online you had 48 hours from arrival to pick it up.

 

I didn't even pre order it and I got it the day after it came out. I got the Pre-order edition too. My Gamestop is awesome.

 

Same, here I didn't even pre-order the game and they handed me the pre-ordered version. I use to pre-order games, but now that they make so many copies of all games, I don't even bother anymore.

 

No one knew about Far Cry where I live, they still had about 30 pre order copies when I was there.

 

Oh, looks like I got lucky as well then. Although I bought it, I still haven't played it. I really want to finish a map I've been working on before I start a new adventure.

 

Fable II came out on tuesday and for me it arrived on Thursday so I consider that fast. I guess you just might not be that lucky though my xbox had to break.

 

I don't trust GameStop.
I don't think I ever want to buy anything from it.

Just recently, one of m friends told me a story that made me not trust it even more.
He said that his brother works at GameStop, and they get to play new games. So basically every game you buy there, has been used. Then they just repackage it with their repackaging plastic thing.
He's not the lying kind, so I don't think he was lying.

 

My disk had no scratches, I'm pretty happy with that. I don't care if they played it unless they damage something. My disk was completely new.

 

No no he's lying, I work there lol. The only ones that get played are the ones that go in the demo consoles. They rarely ever get sold. Trust me, we don't get to play crap.

Also, op, for future reference, don't order stuff online and have it shipped to the store lol. And farcry was delayed a bit so that caused problems as well. And yeah, they rarely ever call, call them the day it's in.

I'm still not going to buy stuff there anyways. I get reward points at Best Buy ^^

 

Don't blame you lol, I honestly ask people why the **** do you buy stuff from us? Walmart will return anything, and we have a ridiculous return policy.
