    Disclaimer: There is a lot of text on this map post. I would LOVE it if you were to read the whole thing instead of looking at just the pictures! It took me 2 hours to get this post prepared, so I would appreciate it if you would read it all!

    Oh, yes. I have been waiting to release this bad boy for awhile. Some of you may have already have realized that I have made a "The Mist" map back in the day. Like around April. Well, in the spirit of Halloween, I have remade this map from the ground up. It has a lot of new features and a lot of the old. It took me around 2 weeks to make this map, but I made it about a month ago. I haven't gotten around to posting it. Well, on to the good stuff.

    This map is based off of the movie "The Mist." The movie is about the survival of people in a grocery store during a terrible outbreak of weird creatures from another dimension.

    This map focuses on the grocery store scenes in the movie. There is the main grocery store, the small pharmacy, the parking lot and a few other things that I added in for gameplay reasons.

    The humans spawn inside of the grocery store, while the zombies start falling outside of the store in the parking lot. The humans have many choices of what to do on this map. They can try and hold up in the grocery store or they can get out of the store and hold up elsewhere. The humans only start with a pistol with limited ammo. There are many weapons hidden around the map.

    2x SMG-180 Sec-0 Clip
    1 Shotgun-180 Sec-1 Clip
    1x Fuel Rod Cannon-NO SPAWN AT START-180 Sec-0 Clip

    1x Bubble Shield-180 Sec
    2x Trip Mine-180 Sec
    1x Regenerator-180 Sec
    3x Flare-180 Sec
    1x Radar Jammer-180 Sec
    1x Frag Grenade-60 Sec

    *95% of the weapons outside will have a firebomb next to them, so you know where they are without having to look TOO hard! That is why there are so many firebombs.*

    As you can now see, there are many weapons to be found in this map that will help you survive the zombie onslaught for as long as you can pull the trigger.

    There are many things about this map that are just like the movie. There is a working garage. To work it; you have to shoot the glowing fusion coils and the garage door will open. Will be explained to further extent with the pictures. The whole front of the store is made of fence walls to represent the front of the store in the movie, which is made of glass.

    There is a shotgun on the back of a warthog; in the movie there was a shotgun in the back of a mans truck. In the movie, a few of the people walked to a pharmacy to get medicine for the sick. In this map, I have made a small outpost/pharmacy that contains a regenerator and an AR/Pistol combo.

    There are many vehicles on this map, but if you use the correct gametype nobody will be able to drive them. The humans can get out of the store many ways. One is through the front door after it has been knocked down. The other is through the garage door. The other way is a secret turret that spawns somwhere SECRET after 60 seconds that allows you to jump through a wall.

    On the other hand the zombies have multiple ways in as well. They can knock down the front door with the lined up fusion coils. It causes a death because of the low health, but it is worth it if the humans stick in the store. They can also go through the garage door if it is open. There are two holes in the roof. One of them is covered up with a crate and the other is completely open. They can also window panel jump/exploit inside.

    Human Traits:
    -100% Health
    -100% Speed
    -100% Gravity
    -No forced color
    -Starting weapon Magnum. Limited ammo
    -NO GRENADES
    -Able to pick up weapons
    -Not able to drive
    -No Camo
    -NO RADAR
    -Last man gets overshields (they don't matter. Zombies instakill) and some more speed

    Zombie Traits:
    -110% Speed
    -110% Gravity
    -90% Health
    -NO SHIELDS
    -Starting weapon; Sword. Infinite ammo
    -Enhanced Radar
    -Instant Kill
    -Forced Color Black
    -No Camo

    Misc:
    -6 Rounds
    -7 Minutes Duration
    -50% Zombie Start
    -Random Zombie
    -3 Second Respawn

    EDIT* I realize that this picture looks like I didn't interlock anything, but you are wrong. I didn't interlock a few boxes because of frame rate issues and they didn't need to be interlocked. No reason to put in work that didn't need to be.*

    Right off of the bat, I would like to say that this is probably the best interperatation of this movie in a Halo 3 map. You won't find a better one than this.

    From all of the testing I have done on this map, people really like it. They like the fact that you have to scavenge for good weapons and all of the places you can go.

    Like I said before, this map is fun for parties 6-12. I even have fun 1v1. Some epic games have been played on this map :D

    I hope you guys will download this map and have fun with it. It is made in the spirit of Halloween or should I say, Halo-Ween :p

    Very nice Game, I like the way you made the garage door and all the aesthetics.
    its a very nice looking game...
    first infect map that looks goood on foundry, but still its still basically haunted manor
    not super original, but i give props...

    and for originality...

    now i hate when people make posts like mine,
    but im sorry... im in a bad mood today...

    i like however the search for weapon thinggy,
    and that the zombs can have camo, but it might look more misty, if you make them have crappy camo and therer whitey...

    i love the fronty of the store, it looks storey. :]]

    I understand everything you said except for the bad interlocking? My interlocking is near perfect and there are some places I didn't NEED to interlock. I also geomerged on this map to make things more smoother. You probably couldn't tell from the pictures though.

    I believe this idea is pretty original if you ask me..? Thanks for the review though. I hope you get to play a game or two on it!

    wow this is the best map post i have ever seen. u use alot of description and tell us almost everything on the map. with great detail and neatness. otherwise this map is an overall um.... how do i put this, amazing. there is some clever ideas that u put in the map. i hope u get alot of dls.

    I didn't intend for it to be bad... interlocking,
    because it was good, the aesthetics were good, but originalty brought it down...

    EX [Current grade...]

    INTERLOCKING - 8/10 = B what the total grade is,
    AESTHETICS - 8/10 = B+ then gets brought up to a B +
    ORIGINALITY - 4.5/10 = C+ Tehn gets dropped by originality, so brcomes a C+

    This looks amazing! Wow i love the Supermarket thing, it looks identicle to the movies set! The interlocking also looks flawless! I will be back with a full review tommorow.

    I like how smooth the roof is and the front of the shop. And I like the way the humans aren't overpowered too.

    Good aesthetics and good use of switches (I assume that's how you open the garage door?) This deserves a DL.

    I'm gonna buy the film too. Looks good.

    You could try changing the garage door opening mechanism (switch) to a Pressure Door.

    It would look cleaner than blowing up fusion coils unless they had to do something like that in The Mist to gain access to the garage.


    Nevermind about what I said, your garage door works very well for its purpose of sliding upward.
    It is very clean

    Pretty good looking map and game. You have nice aesthetics and it looks quite fun. I watched the trailer that you provided and I have to say, the movie looks nice! Your map looks a lot like it. I always loved your maps. This one is one of your best. Good job.

    YAY! you posted it. think I am on one of the pics. lol. Anyway, I thought the map looked great! The inside looks exactly like the movie. I love that it is infection too. Your interlocking is perfect, great job. 5/5

    wow this is actually pretty cool, and accurate. the layout of the map is pretty good to but i think the pharmacy in the movie was a little bigger but thats okay the way it is. also i like it how you have the garage in the back where the kid got pwned. one last thing is that your missing giant crabs, elephants, and a crazy religious woman.

    p.s. pm me if you liked the ending, i thought it was terrible

    LoL. To anyone that thinks that he is serious about the geo-merging thing, then think again. It is an inside joke. Back when I posted the first Mist map, some random kid said great map, but needs moar geomerging :D

    it looks pretty good to me obviously u spent time on it and i like how u did ur post... the map looks flawless tho i think the pic w/ the hole in the roof makes it look bad... but the map is nice hidden weapons r OKAYYYY.... and layout is nice... i believe there is even a switch correct me if im wrong... that seems pretty good to me... nice works... keep forging... hopefully i can see a slayer map from u... :D 4/5

    I realize that it does, but those boxes didn't need to be interlocked. I figured why interlock everysingle box on the roof, when most people won't even be up there for a long period of time anyways. It takes away from frame rate as well.

    Yes. There is a switch.

    Look in my sig. The map Malibu is a slayer map. I believe you have even commented on it?

    Internlocking looks good. Might be a bit unfair if someone made it to a ghost and splattered/shot zombies for an unfair score. XD only I would be crazy enought to do this though....
    And so we go:

    Pros:
    Beast weapon placement
    Beast Merging, looks really clean and neat
    Giving the zombies active camo equals awsome
    Beat movie to make a map of XD

    Cons:
    Looks like players that are humans win. Period.
    The afore mentioned "suicide ghost" plan

    Overall this is a great map so 4/5 =]

    Thanks for the review, but I have a few things to add.

    There isn't a ghost that you can drive on this map. The gametype completely voids you from being able to enter vehicles.
