I'm really not sure if this is the right place but I wanted to know if anyone wanted to make a group with me in which when a new member incorrectly posts, we take the liberty of embedding the pictures, if provided, ourselves. I always thought this is better than telling the member how to do. And it doesn't take too long for the person embedding if they know what theyre doing. Or do you think this is a bad idea?
Ya i give people there pictures very often. But whenever I do, I always have a link to where they can learn how to embed their pictures so they can do it in the future.
people can just doit independently. and i agree itll make the map makers lazy, just hope the new Map Database comes out soon.
well then you can post a link to learn how to do it themselves and try to keep track of who youve helped before, or only help people with less than 5-10 posts cuz then youll know that they haven't been on the site for too long.
good for you for trying to be nice. Really, I'm not being sarcastic or anything. It's just that you shouldn't do it for them, otherwise you're just empowering them and allowing them to screw up. Also, if it could start some weird trend where people are like "Oh, I'll just put up the links to the pictures, seeing as how I'm a lazyass and those people will just put up the pictures for me..." but, yeah, bad idea, but I salute your good heart.
