ok, heres a theory. bungie recently fixed the overloading map problem, where you cannot overload maps anymore. idk if anyone has tried this, but maybe it still works on sandtrap. cause i remember that they fixed that problem around the same time that B.net weekly update was that started all this crap, lol.
I disagree, just yesterday I overloaded Avalanche to turn off the man cannons using the trip mine trick. Anyway, thats not what I wanted to post about. What I did want to say was I may have found the Secret of Sandtrap! Maybe... or at least something which will help. Everyone is going to extremes, trying to make the easteregg appear but seriously, how many of the easter eggs are actually that hard to find? Most of them are just in your face or just out of the map. I think the most complex hidden thing in the Halo trilogy is the Iron Skull, having to jump through the rings in a particular order? People had to actually open the code to get some hints! What if the Sandtrap Secret was there all along, you know, in a really obvious place, somewhere like in the middle of one of the rooms? BAM! Like, OMG! WTF is this? This, my friends, is a stick. It would appear to be a walking stick or a cane. A Brute stick? No. A brute is about the size, if not larger, of a spartan. This stick would be nothing more than a tooth pick to a Brute. Besides, this stick is surrounding by human things, like someone stopped off for a breather and to check their emails. So, a human stick? More likely. It is certainly the right size and shape for a human's walking stick. I have my doubts though, whenever I look at it I can't help but think of Tau Ethereals, who are often depicted with nice leading sticks, which leads me on to... A Forerunner stick? I'll need more evidence before I believe this is a Forerunner stick. At the moment it is possible, but it looks like it is likely a human stick. This stick can be found in the defender's base. Its not forge-able but you can move it. What do you think? as this got something to do with the secret; is this the secret; has it already been considered and abandoned? I guess this is where everyone tells me this is old news. But anyway, that's my contribution, a stick.
first of all you mean the IWHBYD Skull and second of all, the ppl that figure that out either had some sort of decoding thing or had mods. im lmost completly sure no one ever really found the IWHBYD Skull all on there own without any help from some kind of system. besides if they did, they would hav had no life. they must've treid it like 2million times, unless it happened by pure dumb luck.
Way to pick up the things that really don't matter! I was simply using that as an example of one of the more complex hidden objects in Halo. And I did actually say people had to go through Halo 3's code to find hints.They didn't find the exact instructions in the code, just short annotations mentioning the skull, rings and jumping, as well as the name of the level 'The Covenant'. But that really doesn't matter seeing as all the skulls have been found and we're onto the mystery of Sandtrap.

What is the Aegis Fate? Because there are those huge ships that surround Sandtrap. And if the ship is Aegis Fate, and Aegis Fate is the Ziz, and the Ziz is the protector, then maybe if you destroy Ziz with the two elephants, you kill everyone who's in a game in matchmaking. Cause with out the big protector, everyone would die..
first of all there is only one ship in the sky, there is multiple towers in the sky. and how the f*ck are you going to "kill" the ageis.
Ok guys. I found something. Kinda big. Big big. Ok, I don't know if you guys ever go on the Bungie media player, but I found something interesting. VERY interesting, HERE! Notice anything? The theme of that room is Sandtrap! It looks like a secret room in Sandtrap. And plus, in the description is says "Originally aired as part of G4's G-Phoria Awards, there's more to this short acceptance video than meets the eye..." More than meets the eye! That room must be the easter egg! Now just to find out how to get there. Yes I do know that they could've just made this map for the acceptance thing, but at the end a bunch of people die. Killed by the guardians maybe? Because they were in a special part of the map that you're not suppose to be in (like out of a map)? And they said "hey, what happened?" EDIT: This video is also interesting.... at the end! It also looks "Sandtrap themed" at the end. And what he says? This could get interesting when the new campaign comes out. Very interesting indeed. I think that this is a big thing. Seriously.
Its a new map. Theres a video with... i cant remember who walking around talking about stuff. He walks around on rats nest. At the end he appears in that room, and hes like "wait, this isnt finished, theres no way were showing this yet. And then throws a grenade which sticks the camera man, and it zooms out and its a black map with a grid on it, and nothing else. EDIT: Now you edited it in! See, its a new map!
Yea maybe. But why is it Sandtrap themed? And why did the people die? It might be in the new campaign. Not a map. And I think it's Luke walking around.
Theres a map coming out called Sandbox. Could be on that, there's also other maps coming out that we don't know about. Could be anything. I don't know why the died, but oh well.
The only real way to analyze it to find a secret room in Sandtrap would be for someone with a decompressor to open up the map's physical model in some kind of 3D editor that doesn't load the textures and look over it with a fine-toothed comb. I will admit that the prospect of a secret room in Sandtrap is intriguing, but I won't believe it's actually there until I see it. Sandbox, though, I don't think has anything to do with Sandtrap (despite the sandiness of their names). I honestly only think it's called that because of the fact that, like a child with a sandbox can create virtually anything, so too can a forge artist with Sandbox create virtually anything. BTW, has anyone thought to contact Bungie concerning this? It's all well and good that we can speculate and theorize, but don't you think it would be better to run this past them to make sure we're not on a wild goose chase?
