    Desert Terror

    Map made by Mearm and Parune. 12-16 players. Use with Ambush game variant.
    First off, there is a plot to this map, so let's start with that.
    A UNSCDF recon ship was scouting the area near a desert settlement zone. This settlement had been active earlier, and was being checked to see if the facilities still worked. As it was scouting the main section of the zone, an ship of unknown alliegence flew in and attacked. The enemy ship damaged the engine reactor of the UNSCDF ship and as the recon ship was headed for a crash landing, it fired a MAC cannon off the back of the ship. This shot hit the unknown ship right in the command center, and soon both ships were in a wreak in the settlement zone. Now they must fight on ground, but who knows what the Humans might face?

    There are many overview shots, as Sandtrap is a very large map. This particular shot is of the crashed recon ship. This is where the humans spawn. Note that there are 2 mongooses in this section, one is upside-down. This area has no weapons in it.

    And this is the zombie spawn. Note that there is a bunch of supply cases and plasma batteries. This is supposed to be messed up, as it is a crash site, as are many of the other bases on the map, also either run down or partially destroyed. There are 2 weapons in this area, a plasma pistol, and a needler. Also note that weapons on this map are one time use only, and have only 1 clip total, so use the ammo wisely...

    This is the base nearest to the human spawn. Now this base is very undefendable, in my opinion, and has no weapons in it, but if you get left behind (there are only 2 mongeese) this can be a sort of safe haven for the time being. This works best if you have at least 2 people guarding this area.

    This is the radio station base. It is somewhat near the human spawn, and has moderate defensive capability, but is better than the first base. This base has one weapon, a magnum, in it.

    This is not even a base. It is pretty far away from the ship, and has little defensive capability. The only thing you can do with this area is maybe camp, or if you're passing through, grab the SMG inside.

    This is the drop pod site, and up to it's name, has drop pods in it. 3 in fact. Now I don't think I've told you yet, but each drop pod has a weapon inside, so this can be a valuable place to capture. Just don't get too comfortable, as this is very near the zombie spawn point. Inside this area are a shotgun, a magnum and a battle rifle.

    This is the lookout post base. It has pretty good defensive quality, but is very small, and has no weapons inside it. Also there is a line of fusion coils leading up to the base, making a suicide zombie catastrophic to this base. Also, you might be blown up by the occasional mine popping up out of the ground...

    This is a crash site for some of the unknown ship, as it has supply cases and plasma batteries. There is relatively no defensive quality in this base, but it has a brute shot in it. This is near the zombie spawn, so keep your guard up if you want to go get the brute shot.

    This base is in the middle hall type region, and is just a little closer to the zombie spawn than the human spawn. This base has 2 levels, an upper and a lower. The upper is an undefendable spot, and the barricade is facing the wrong way, but the lower floor is pretty defendable, and the base has a shotgun in it.

    This is the last overview shot. This base is the main base in the region, and likewise, is the greatest defensive point in the map. Problem is, it is the farthest away base that there is. This base is blocked 3 out of the 5 entrances, and houses a battle rifle and a magnum. There is also a barricade up above the base in an intersection, but it is very undefendable.

    Ambush Features
    Humans: Normal, Magnums only.
    Zombies: 200% speed, 75% gravity, energy swords infinate ammo, normal shields, 50% damage resistance.
    Alpha zombie: Same as zombie except immune to headshot damage.​

    Credits
    Okay, I know alot of people are going to say that 200% speed zombies is too much, but there is a reason I put that there. One, the map is HUGE, so the zombies need some fast way to get from place to place. Two, this is to make the zombies have at least some advantage against the mongoose's speed. Also, I didn't use the infinate money glitch, and I had 80$ left over anyway in the budget. The cast for the pictures are: Mearm, Parune, Darth Bane 97. If you have suggestions and comments, please post and rate the map.​

    (I am the one in steel and gold, Parune is the one in white and green, and Darth Bane 97 is the one in white and red.)​

    I guess this looks good for a non - DLC map but try making one on DLC maps to get more Dls

    I've made so many DLC maps that I decided I needed to make a different kind of map. That's why this is on Sandtrap.

    this actually looks pretty cool, a change from all the ride or die kind of games on sandtrap, ill check it out!

    This map looks pretty cool and fun its kind of on the simple side and you could have added a little bit more features to it. I have a question the guy in the pic below looks exactly like my character perhaps its me because I might have joined idk

    good attempt but hard to do on a map like that, and thank god you did it ON sandtrap instead of on foundry like a couple of idiots on forghub i seen

    I'm sorry but this look way too amatuer to recieve more than ten downloads. First off, it's mainly sandtrap with tons of objects placed in order made to look random. i'm sorry but this map just does'nt work for me and I'm sure others will agree.

    I like this map, I had alot more fun on this map instead of alot of other maps Mearm made. Its a nice change of pace from the average run-n-gun foundry infection maps that have gotten boring and hard to customize. Sure its on santrap, but it isnt just for looks and 'intarlocking'. I think this map is one of the funnest maps Mearm made. Personaly I look for gameplay instead of looks and think this hits the spot.

    Good job.
    Fun to make and I wish more people would accept that and make more fun maps out of foundry. Plus this map is not ametuerishish, you are.

    The map looks pretty fun to play on, considering foundry is a pretty hard map to forge on. I like the idea of having multiple bases/outpost scattered throught out the map.

    looks good. most sandtrap maps is just a bunch of cars and such and the zombies are really fast. good for a non DLC map. not alot of weapons though, for bigger partys it might be harder 3/5

    Yea i will agree, the bases, to me, seem like they are just a bunch of objects scattered around to hide behind for minimal cover, maybe this is what you were going for? To me I would like to see more completed bases, maybe stack the objects to make small bases with some weapons? Gameplay may be really fun, but i dont know how many people will try if it doesnt look appealing.

    at least there isnt an armory
    much better maps have been made on sandtrap
    all you have really sone is added randomass scenary
    mabey add some epic peice to the map
    i like the sky high mongoose pic

    wow, that is worse than the foundry map someone else made on here, all they did was add random **** to the already made map, lol. -5/5 not creative at all.

    You haven't even played the map yet. This is not all about how the map looks, it's about how much fun the map can be. This is actually a really fun map to play on, so actually try the map before you flame at me for making a map that all I wanted was for people to try it and see if they liked it. Last, you didn't even make constructive criticism, so how do I know what you don't like about the map, or how to fix it for that matter?

    finally... not another stupid convoy map with thousands of weapons... this actually has more thought into it 5/5

    Looks good for a non-DLC map. Mind you, I don't think it'll catch on with the noobs because there's no stairway of Elephants or modded Elephants outside of the map or big floating weapon storage which is inaccessable to the zombies or some **** like that :D

    Weapons are a bit too scarce, maybe.
