Alright, my newest map has gone under countless setbacks, because of one issue that won't leave me alone.. deleting objects. Apparently, my map is deleting spawn areas, starting spawns, and goal objectives on its own. For example, before one of my testing sessions, I ran into forge, and checked everything to make sure it was still their,and ended the game without saving (cause I hadn't changed anything), so I started the game, and we all spawned where we weren't supposed to. Spawns were messed up (even though the spawns were working fine before), and when we tried flag/bomb, it would end the game as a tie before it started. So, I went back into forge, and starting spawns are gone for Team Slayer. In Flag, and Bomb, the defenders bomb arming zone, and bomb pickup was gone, and spawn areas were also amiss. I went back to one flag in forge right after checking assault, and another re spawn zone disappeared. And this is mild, previously it would leave nothing but the actual map itself, all spawns, and goals gone. I need help, cause if I publish this, and it does this to people, that would be disastrous. And I did not use the budget glitch, until the end, when i realized I needed money for weapons, so I budget glitched man cannons and weapons, nothing else.
Yeah, I remember thinking "Wow, Sweeney sucks at spawns." when we were playing it and then you explained and I was like "Oh, that really sucks." Only thing I can guess is that somehow your budget glitching messed it up. Maybe try getting rid of some of the aesthetic things that aren't necessary and unglitching it?
this happened to me with my most recent map Intrepid. i fixed it(i dont know how i did) and posted it, but now about 3 weeks later its happening to me again. Intrepid v2 is accually now going into major reconstruction. i have to delete sections of the map that i really like in order to make the maps gameplay better. i hate spawns and trying to figure out strategic map layouts so much!
I am having this same problem. I did not budget glitch my map nor did I work off of a already budget glitched map. I was also working on my map by myself, no one else was in the party. I was going to geo-merge a box slightly into the crane, but to do so I had to make things go away and then start a new round, I had done that, then once I got done geo-merging the box I saved as a new map, ended game blah blah blah. So I got back into the game started a new round right away because I know that things do not show up at the very first round all the time. After doing so, I tried to make all my double boxes spawn, but only one of them didn't spawn, and I know for a fact that I didn't delete it. It had deleted itself, and I know that to some of the people that are reading this are thinking "stfu, you deleted it cuz u r noob." I couldn't have deleted it because when it comes to geo-merging (the crane specifically) I intend to work very slow on the process and think about what I have to do to get the geo-merged item where I want it to be. I have no idea on why this happens, I just know that it makes me angryfaic.
For the most part, no, but I had a friend come in and help me set up spawns. However, when I check them to make sure they are still good, I am by myself. It really seems to happen everytime I try and play a custom game..
Dam taht really sucks. I ahve seriously no idea what is wrong. But maybe forging with others. Forging with others sometimes ****s stuff up a little.
