Complex We all have experienced a lot of foundry maps. In the great foundry maps we see Interlocking and neatness. Sadly there is not enough Non-Foundry based forge maps. I bring you Complex. A 4v4 Arena map based on Rat Nest. This map shows resemblance to The Pit with the corners and hiding spots. Complex holds a plenty of well liked weapons. In each base you will find a Battle Rifle and a Sniper Rifle. If you take the top exit out of the base you will find a Battle Rifle up top, and if you go out the bottom door you can find two Battle Rifles on each side. Off the start each team member has a Battle Rifle for his or her usage. One lucky member will be using the Sniper Rifle. There are exactly 9 Battle Rifles, 2 Sniper Rifles, 4 SMGs, 2 Magnums, and 1 Rocket Launcher. There is a Machine Gun Turret for Asymmetrical gametypes. An overshield is also placed on the bottom middle. There are names for everything in a map. Here are some things people can call things. You have "Red Base, Red Outside, and Red Hallway. Rocket, Middle, Middle Bottom, and Middle Top. Blue Base, Blue Outside, and Blue Hallway" And now you get pictures! WOOT Base Outside Hallway Middle Rocket DOWNLOAD
I just don't see much that has changed. If you want to move away from foundry at least make something interesting and use advanced forging techniques. It doesn't look like you put much work into this, I am just not impressed...
All you people think about is how things look. Download it and actually play it. Thats what a map is! The look comes after the gameplay.. I quit Forgehub then. Go find a better place that actually welcomes NON-FOUNDRY MAPS..
You can't just blindly love a map just cause it is not on foundry. Some non foundry maps are good... and others (this one) are not so good. People like a map when you actually put a lot of effort into it. If you barely change anything people wont like it because they could just make the same thing in an hour...
I'm glad to see a non-foundry map and this one is pretty good. The only things are I have seen a lot of maps that use only the inside or only the outside of rats nest. Also, there doesn't seem to be that much changed. The map still looks like it plays well so nice job.
I made a map somewhat like this recently called Breezeway (It's in my sig if you care, which you probably don't. XD). Anyway, I like the structural and flow changes you've made, especially using the exits from the back hallways to connect to your topside Rockets spawn. I wish I would've thought of that! I truly appreciate a good Rat's Nest map, as they're a ***** to make with the horribly limited supply of immovable objects. Your barriers, crates, and other "soft" objects are impeccably placed, and I commend you immensely for making something different out of the innards of Rat's Nest. The map's flow looks pretty great, and I don't see there being any camping problems with your layout, although the back portion of each base is fairly defensible and might be hard to conquer when facing an intelligent foe. Great job, and you have my DL!
Some are saying that its easy to make this quickly and stuff. But honestly most of the geometry seems well thought out. It might take less time to forge than ur typical foundry map but more time to plan especially with the limited item supply. This obviously took more than an hour just look at the last pic. Im glad someone forged a better rats nest because i personally don't like the default geometry and weapon set. I kinda wish u wouldnt have used teles to block off map and some stuff could be added to make ur map stand out (the name complex doesn't really achieve that) but its still i good map which now has 1 more dl
Tbh, it really doesn't look like you changed much. Half the pictures didn't even have any items in them. Good luck next time.
tbh huh? Kay.. I dont listen to people who have been warned. =D oh and by the way.. all the pictures have weapons in them, they are being carried or they are at there spawn point.
