Okay, I got on to Halo cause my friends called and said, "Hey Keenan! Get on Halo 3! Auto Update is live!!! soi soi soi." So I was all like, "ok." So we're all achievement whores, so we play DLC BTB, and what do we get? Stupid SANDTARP. We all veto and we get Sand Trap, WTF!!! So we back out, then, we get stupid Valhalla, it's retarded! Why call it DLC if they don't play on DLC?! I mean, like what if someday, a little kid saves up his allowance to buy Legendary Map Pack, then as he loads his game, he plays the so called "DLC Playlist". Then he's all like soi soi soi. Discuss.
dlc stands for down loadable content and rats nest is down loadable, for sandtrap i believe it is the new one that they have made, and that is why it is on the list
I like DLC big team but that is pretty odd the you went from sand tarp to sand trap, maybe you should email bungee about that cause I wouldnt think they want that to happen and if they do thats stupid but what do you have against rat's nest?
That was the most ridiculous post I have ever read. 1) DLC, so I'd imagine the accidental sand trap pop up was a slip up 2) This was a big update, theres going to be some bugs and they are going to work it out 3) DLC big team is stupid and should include the old maps, plus things like Sand Tarp 4)Little kids will have ample opportunity to play there ridiculously old legendary maps that they just bought And finally, if you want anyone to at all in any way, shape, or form take you seriously, don't put SoiSoiSoi in every sentence. they made a different gametype of heavy valhalla with like more mongi/mongeese and i think someone told me you have a little more damage resistance. since that was in AU2 its considerd DLC. idk about sandtrap srry, bungie never said anything about sandtrap being different.
For some reason, Ranked Big Team was so much more fun then this... I don't understand how though. Avalanche just seems like it was meant for more people. I mean, Sandtrap has the elephants, and that somehow makes is seem as if it were the right size for a full party. This is probably just me though.
Aye, I don't think tis not a bug, tis intentional. I've gotten Valhalla and Sandtrap multiple times. And, if you follow bungie.net: DLC Big Team Eight on eight Social Slayer and Objective action (Gametypes from Big Team Social) Focused on DLC content (Requires both Heroic and Legendary Map Packs) Does not ever say "DLC Only". Bungie are good with their words.
It's not so much that everyone bitched you out, but rather the post made you kinda come off sounding like a whiney dumbass. I'm not calling you that, I'm just saying that the post could have been thought out slightly better. I'm sorry that you felt like we were being rude.
With Ranked and Social BTB gone Sand Trap wasn't in any playlist, so it would suck to have a map never appear in matchmaking so I guess Bungie thought it was a good idea to put it in DLC. And who doesn't like Valhala? It's one of Halo 3's best maps!
i just got back from playing dlc big team and i have to say that its pretty good, lol so far its my best playlist. we played splockets or something and it was interesting, i pwned of course.
It's in Squad Battle, a lot. It'll also be in Multi-Team now, through Rocket Race, if you want to count that. Lol @ Backwash (from Halo 2).
Ah, Wasn't sure about that because I played Squads only about 5 times and it was Standoff every time and that was bull crap so I stopped playing it. Sorry for not getting my facts before commenting Also I actually liked Backwash I also think there is a slight lack of Legendary DLC but Avalanche is the only BTB map from the the legendary map pack, I mean, Ghost town with 16 people would be hilarious but not fun. I think that Bungie should increase the weight of Avalanche and Avalanche Heavy slightly.
Me too, though it was kinda limited in the gametypes you could play on it. The reason it was removed from Halo 2 matchmaking actually had nothing to do with it not being a good map; there was apparently a glitch that caused the map to freeze when loaded on some Xbox 360s (it was originally released when Xbox was the current gen). I never had any problems with it personally, but apparently the problem was significant enough that it needed to be removed from matchmaking. In the DLC playlists? Definitely. Legendary Brawl for this Double EXP Weekend is nearly all Heroic maps. It makes it very tempting to cheat for achievements when it's so difficult to even get a game on a Legendary map (without cheaters in it...). [/offtopic]
It's DLC in the sense that it requires DLC. It's not solely on DLC maps. I agree on one point though, Sand Tarp was unnecessary.
