    Assymetrical room-based MLG map. 2-6 players ​

    Ever since I played NeXN's Chill Out remake, I wanted to make an asymmetrical room map that played somewhat like it, but also had its own distinctive features. I wanted it to PLAY WELL, and look good. I think I've accomplished that the best you can without distorting MLG gameplay too much. Although you can run 4v4s on this, I made it as an FFA, 1v1, or 2v2 map. There are only 4 start spawns set up, so I'm not sure where the extra four players would spawn in a 4v4.

    There's only two 'power weapons' on the map, mauler and camo. They spawn on opposite sides of the map from eachother, and in a 1v1 both players will spawn next to one or the other. In a 2v2, both teams will spawn by either mauler or camo, so it will be up to them to decide how to use it. If they spawn by camo, they could pick it up right away and try and rush in and steal the mauler, or they might decide to hang back and pick it up when they see the other team with mauler getting close.


    There are a total of 5 respawn areas on Prey, one for each corner of the map, or 'room', and one big one that takes up the whole map. This is to balance the spawns, and make it so you will never spawn by an enemy. Even though this may be distorted with anything more than 5-6 players, I still find it to be an effective spawn system.

    Seems like it could have some great game play with MLG Flag. Objective games will be the best on this map by just looking at it. I love the interlocking you have going on. Also the layout is very well planned good job 4.85/5

    MLG maps do have camo in them, Guardian has it. I used it because I felt it was the only thing I felt would fit.

    I actually never planned it to play objective at all, simply slayer. I'll go through and look at some spots to put flag spawns though, thanks for the suggestion.

    wow, i liked the looks from the first couple of pictures. good job with the structure. i think the camo might work well with it becasue looks like thers alot or corners to sneek around.ill download and check it out. 4/5 from pictures

    Mr. Novak, this map that you have created is the most insanely idiotic things I have ever seen. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

    look at me, my names novak and I try my hardest in school and when I come home, I enjoy trying even harder in video games.

    wow; 10/5 just for being simply amazing!!! Featured for sure. I was really good at H2 so I know what a good map is! I am currently a capt grade 3 in H3.(So close to Staff). I hope they put this map in MLG because I play it all day. I know all these secret spots you probaly dont know!!! I like how u put boxes in other boxes too, it makes make very smooth! Its such a good map i downloaded it 3 TIMES just to make emphasis the greatness!!!@@@onenonenne!!!

    You have one box that flickers and it is so ****ing distracting.
    Some spots are too crammed and some are too open.

    bad stuff aside this map is great everything is very clean and the game play is relatively smooth. nice work sir. post this on the mlg forums asap.

    I thought the flicking box was cool, haha. It was impossible to get it to line up with the open box it was in, so I guess it flickering doesn't really bother me that much just cause it was the hardest part to get. I'll post it on the MLG Forums soon, I just wanted to get feedback here first and possibly change a few things cause I know over there people will either love it or hate it, while here people will tell me both things they like or didn't like.

    they'll just tell you that it has good interlocking. if you want real advice on gameplay or things that matter go to mlg. just replace the box there with a fencewall on the bottom or something.

    I think I might've been out of fence walls, thats why I put the box in there. I'll check tomorrow though and change it if I have any left. I'll post it at the MLG forums tomorrow too

    its a good map. unique layout. clean. i have no idea how well it plays. it might play like ****; i dont know. it probably doesnt though. i would download but i have 99 custom content

    This map is ver unquie and looks like fun, but it doesnt seems to be any cover just lots of jumps and ramps but REAL cover. like the map alot though.

    I tried not to have too much cover, because it honestly just gets in the way a lot of the time. I wanted it to be a lot like Chill Out/Cold Storage, and obviously there's not a lot of 'cover' on either of them. It's about teamwork/BR, and a little bit of strategy involving the camo and mauler.

    a wee bit sloppy

    Its a little sloppy like that part with the 3 walls stacked on top of eachother. and some of the bridges are at a tilt. 3.5/5

    The three walls stacked on top of each other in this pic are supposed to make it so you can't nade or hide underneath the open box. I also don't really get what you mean when you say the bridges are tilted, you mean the straight ones? I lined them up with a double box, so they should be straight.

    This doesn't need a new thread, but at least a bump. I changed around the spawn areas so you never get a bad spawn anymore, the spawns work out a lot like Guardian now where the other team generally spawns on the other side of the map from the majority of your team.
