EDIT*** Theres a problem displaying the pictures. Working on this now! So you think your elite?! Try this on for size. Dodgeball is the latest halo sport to grace your thumbs since grifball. Welcome to the dodgeball arena where teams of four come together to stick the hell out of eachother. The arena is much like a football or soccer field if you will. Each team spawns at one end of the arena which is divided down the center by 6 window panels which stop players from getting to eachother, but at the same time provides the perfect barrier to throw sticky grenades through and over! When you spawn inside the arena you will notice a load of sticky grenades on the floor, these all respawn as soon as they are picked up to provide fluid and continuous gameplay for everybody. Each player starts with no grenades to make sure things are equal. Aswel as this each player has a plasma pistol so that they do not feel the urge to blast their way through the other team with bullets. It would be a good time to point out that you cannot get points for kills, you can only get points for sticks! Which is why the game is named dodgeball! From down in the arena your objective is more than obvious! Pick up those grenades and throw, throw, throw!!! Although dont forget to dodge, its a vital part of the games strategy! When a player is killed or stuck they will respawn on the correct side of the arena. You will also notice that you will be black for 3 seconds, this is to show the other team you have died and respawned. For the 3 seconds you are black the following apply: 1) You are invincible 2) You cannot inflict any damage 3) You cannot pick up any grenades This makes it fair for both teams, so that nobody can spawn camp and nobody can spawn and throw! At the top of the arena you will see that there are shield doors, these are perfect for bouncing grenades off and landing a stick from the side or behind. But dont forget to keep an eye on what the other team are doing, 'cos they arent going to go down withouth a fight! To finish i will summerise the game rules for you. Each team should have an equal amount of players, and there should be no more than two teams. The floor is laced with sticky and spiker grenades that respawn automatically. The objective is to stick the other players for points, regular kills do not gain you points. Beatdowns and assassinations get you -2 points while betreyals get you -1 point. The gravity is increased to 200% to stop you grenade jumping to the other team. And your speed is increased to 110% to help you dodge. That prety much covers it, happy dodging! It's not completely original, but I like the shield doors to bounce things off of. It's well made at least, but the roof looks sloppy. Dodgeball is always fun. :]
ummm this is ok and dogeball isnt that oringinal. but the design is really good but the construction isnt you need to flip the boxes on there sides so the flat white part is the wall not just an upright box. I say 3/5
I like it you should make another doggeball map but with some sort of a twist. Keep up the good work.
I think that you should make the roof look much better aestheticly then add sheild doors to the roof if at all posible to give more momentum when throwing. IDK maybe that isn't a very goood Idea but still. Work on that roof.
Dogeball may have been done many times, but not nearly this good. The map looks great, I'd just advice cleaning it up a little bit, like instead of putting the boxes how you have them now maybe try putting them side ways so you see the nice lean bottom facing into the center of the ring. Also With your shield doors you could lower them just a bit so you don't see the piece that sticks out then above them but your wall down so all you see from it is the blue. All this would make the map look really neat and professional. For the gameplay I havn't played it yet But I will, I have played lots of dogeball games but this one looks the best so far.. nice 1 looks like a football pitch (the proper football were u CANT use your HANDS) again as said before the roof is a bit "sloppy" fix that and i will get a 4.5/5 but for now its a 4/5
its good that you have the window panels, too many a time have i played a dodgeball game where each team goes on an "HONOR RULE BREAKING FRENZY" and leaps to opposing ends. i think it was brilliant how there are shield doors to bounce the stikies off of, something i havent seen-adds a strategic side to it, and possible a flanking concern. (dodgeball is no longer one sided). the few things i think could have been done better were making it so that the bottom of the boxes were towards the field, and the shield doors were floating so that there was no ledge for the players to possibly get to. perhaps a little more interlocking, but nobody really notices this in a dodgeball game. but thats all i can say negative about this. the roof gives it more of a rural feel to it which seem like a good change of surroundings (reminds me of China rooftops). ill download and check it out, and come back with my thoughts about gameplay later. But from what ive seen so far, Blood fire up ^^theres got the right idea
It would improve the looks but not the gameplay plus its not necsasry it would just make it better... In my opion anyways.
Cool, i like to shield doors to lob nades off. Wouldn't the window panels block the granades like crazy, wouldn't it be really annoying to not be able to jump? Check this out, it gets rid of these problems.
Seems very good. i like the arena you made. makes it stand out from all the other ones out there. and be sure to remember learn the five d's of dodgeball: dodge, duck, dip, dive and uhhhh dodge!
it isnt original but it does look fun, the one thing i don't really like about it is the window panels, i mean i know it is a pretty good way to block it off but there still is a bit of honor rule there, but if you through it at the window panel you might have it bounced off. It does look good though
played it today, was really fun, but I wish it was a tad bit larger, because it seems as though you die too much from not being stuck. If you make another, maybe change that? Also, i dont like throwing spikes because they always hit the window panels.
