I recently started using an HDMI cable to connect to my 65' HDTV (be jealous.), but the only thing is that the audio always comes out of the TV, and I sometimes like to use a headset, in case I don't want to wake up those old mean people that live in the room next to me. I found this thingie in my box of random wires, cables, and condoms: It's called an Xbox 360 audio adaptar. I can have this and the HDMI cable plugged in at the same time, but my question is; how am I supposed to plug this into my headset? This has input holes... and so does the headset. That doesnt werk.
First, grab a spare set of RCA cables (these are the yellow, red, and white ends) or composite (your red, green, blue ends) and hook them up. It doesn't matter about color; they're the same cables. Just make sure you attach the ends properly; so if you use the green cable with the red output, make sure you use the green one for the red input. Next, buy this thing. After that, get a female-female headphone adapter.
oh ok. i was just gun say buy a yellow white red cable that is outputs on both sides. i think ive seen one of those..
For my HDTV i plug in the RGB wires into its corresponding components and plug in the regular RCA cables as well. Maybe your HDTV is different from mines...
