It is killnon2 here in Houston and I am going to give you an update on Hurricane Ike.

There is a 50 MPH wind speed here and lots of trees where I live. The power has not gone out yet, but it will soon. My TV is on the weather channel and I am tracking it on my computer. My laptop is charging for when I run out of power, but sadly it won't be fully charged. I will probably use my PSP instead. If I lose power, then I won't get it back for 2 weeks. That is what I heard from the weather station though.

It hasn't started raining here. It probably won't flood since it is a flatland. I am hoping that that it doesn't though sooooo....

Well, that is the update! I have to go now! I will get back to (hopefully) in the morning.

My sister lives in Houston. I just talked to her and they are getting ready, too. I hope it isn't as bad as it looks on the radar. Good luck to you!

Yeah, it'll be alright. And if it isn't, you can feel free to say "I told you so".

We spent today barricading things and all that. Also, my dad bought a generator. Even if we don't get hit that bad, at least we'll be able to use it when the power goes out. It always does... I'm in Houston, too, by the way. Right next to Katy (and I mean, Katy is a five minute walk from my house), if that helps you know where I am.

Hey, Killnon. You there? Because I'm here. We lost power for... 18 hours or so. That generator was a good idea. We're relatively fine, although part of the fence in the backyard collapsed. I assume you're fine as well?

I heard it was like...as big as Texas. That's one big ass hurricane.

Good luck; hopefully it's not going to be as bad as it sounds.

Up here in Illinois we get the repercussions...we have **** rainy weather most days of the week now, when it should be fairly clear and warm.

You might save time if you don't try to kiss your butt good-bye. I tried, but I can't reach.

Remember, stay in low places, and way from areas with two or more exits. Hmm, I don't think that's right somehow.

I hope the best of luck to you. Remember, someone is always having a worse day than you.
