So I've heard about and today, I am going to try google new browser, "Chrome" Download, here

[IMG]Not alot of clutter on top of the browser and adding tabs is kinda like internet explorer I guess you could say.

[IMG]Iv'e noticed when you've selected a textbox, a orange square surrounds it to let you know where your typing, and will have a red squiggle under misspelled words.

I guess if some people download it, we can update this topic when we figure things out. And yes, I posted this topic, on google chrome. =)

EDIT: Picture no work on firefox or chrome, fail. EDIT WAS DONE ON FIREFOX =)

Everything you have just described, is available in FF.

That is why I didn't download it, I don't need another web browser when the one I use is perfectly fine.

It loads pretty fast, but right now I will continue using Safari. It looks like it is meant for running web based applications like Google Docs.

It's noticable faster. Not just those minute speed differences. Actually noticeably faster.
Pages appear a lot faster in Chrome than Firefox. I've noticed it for sure.

Then i'll give it a run.

It's just that, with the amount of web browsers today, it's really just inconvenient switching between all of them.

More Choice, Less Satisfaction. (+1 If anyone gets the reference)

It is true that Chrome is faster, which is why I downloaded it, but it doesnt have extentions so I'm sticking with Firefox.

It lacks RSS compatibility and if there are pages with lots of ****ing ads using flash or something, Chrome will crash or freeze. Its just a beta. It needs work, but i still use it for the speed.

I switch between Safari and Internet Explorer, both work fine for me. I don't have a need for Chrome or FireFox, Chrome doesn't look much different from any other browser. I hope people who do have it enjoy it though =).

True. Before you criticize Chrome too much, remember it is just a beta.

I'll stick with FireFox for now. Every other page I tried to visit in Chrome hung up on me. I'll try it again when it is no longer in Beta.

The EULA killed it for me. Did you know that you agree to letting Google look at all your web browsing information? I go to some rather questionable and illegal websites; I don't want a multi-billion dollar corporation to know about that!

Did you know that they updated the EULA already?
    Old news, outdated.

Every single feature there is in Chrome can be replaced by an extension in Firefox. The only real reason I would use Chrome seriously is if I used all of the other Google products, like Google Docs and Google News and such.

Google Chrome is not done yet, they have a couple features that will get people to download it, when the official version comes out.

A reason NOT to get Google Chrome is because it's not very virus protected. FF currently has the best.

Did they withdraw the monitoring part? Doesn't matter, I'm happy with Firefox.

I just downloaded it. It seems to work pretty well so far. It just has a hugely different feel to it than Firefox. I'll just have to get used to it.

Thanks for letting us know about this! I always like to try out new browsers.

I had to use it yesterday because I got browser hijacked.

But anyways, it was pretty good, but apparently 90% of things I needed to DL to get rid of my virus were incompatible with Chrome, and needed IE or FF to download/use them.

I might DL it again in a couple months or whenever it's final, so things can adjust to Chrome.

And yet Chrome doesn't need an add on to do it. Awesome =D

Given that Chrome is still in Beta yet easily competes with the likes of Firefox is pretty darn good. Wait untill you see version 3 of Chrome =D
Wait untill you see add-ons made for Chrome. It can only get better from here.

Not to mention the render time for web pages is a lot fast then Firefox/Safari/IE. Its certainly noticeable.

Definitely. It's basically equivalent to Firefox now, and yet it's faster and it's in Beta, what does that tell you? And just like Firefox, it's open source. That is once again only a good thing. I can see this easily going to be a Firefox killer. Infact everything killer. I can see the day when Google creates their own OS. Free and Open Source like every other product they have. Then they can monitor all your activity! =D
